Some people have asked whether you can remove the NVX sub. You can. Just take out the hex screws and use a panel removal tool to remove the sub. It is not glued in. It looked like NVX put threaded metal inserts inside the mounting holes. I considered swapping the NVX for a JLAudioW3. One issue...

To the extent this helps anybody else, here is where I tapped the power and ground for the XLC. I used 3M t-taps. I will likely redo this and solder the connections and use smaller wire . I wrapped with TESA tape afterwards.

In case anybody is having trouble making sense of the wiring diagram, this photograph shows the wires running to the sub. The plug shown goes into the sub.
