While receiving my new X a couple weeks ago, the delivery guy told me they are going to build a new SC & Delivery facility in Carlsbad; I don't know where in Carlsbad though.

It appears to be a constant red blink but perhaps it is a single blink that is just repeating; can't say for certain.

So a Tesla Mobile Tech came over to check out my issue yesterday and could not figure out why the HPWC was tripping with the Model X but worked fine with my 2015 S P85D. They have ordered me a new Gen2 HPWC which should be here on Friday.

The post is about 2018 cars and it looks like the people who have had issues are those with Gen2 MCU's charging with Gen1 HPWC

@schemers.....That is interesting,... there goes my theory about the Gen2 MCU being the issue with the Gen1 HPWC. Anyway, I am waiting for the mobile Tesla repair team to call me back to schedule a visit to my house so they can figure this out and replace the wall charger if needed.

@boonedocks Again, I think this may be an issue with Gen 2 MCU cars produced after March 15th 2018.

@P85_DA Yes, but do you have a car with the new MCU (cars produced after March 15th ish)? This may be an issue with the new MCU cars and old HPWC.

@rmholbrookjr Can I ask which department helped you resolve this issue and gave you new HPWC. I have the exact same problem. Thanks, Erik

I just took delivery of a new X 100D today and have this same issue. My Gen1 HPWC, wired into 100amp circuit, has always worked with my S P85D but after about 10 seconds on my new X it trips the HPWC and error message appears. I will be calling Tesla in the morning.

I went by on my way to Gelson's (grocery store across the street) and was surprised to see a crew working at 4:45 pm on a Sunday! No pictures today.

If anyone on this forum has the ability to delete those duplicate pictures I posted above, please do so. I do not seem to have that function available on my end. Thanks.
