Battery defect for IT brainstorming BMS_u029 - P85 MS 2013

@BIZTEam what method did you use to isolate the two defective cells in the brick? did you use an IR camera (if so, what we’re the steps) or did you use a different method to measure resistance, short, etc.? also, what tool(s) did you use to measure capacity? I’ve got a home brew setup for...

    Missing CAN Viewer Data?

Assuming it’s pilot error on my part, but for some reason the CAN Viewer on the center console won’t display/populate even basic CAN data such as BMS_contactorState State, BMS_isolationResistance, BMS_state, etc in either Service Mode or Service Mode+ Is there some hidden step, secret...

    Toolbox 3 updates

unfortunately, even with Gateway unlocked, not getting even basic reads on Vitals other that cfg_ values in Toolbox 3 right now. entire superset is now only 134 some odd Vitals and only cfg_ value, previously it was north of 8000 or so, and 50+ bms_ vitals. now zero bms_ vitals... #sadMac :-(

    Toolbox 3 updates

much appreciated however, even with the Gateway unlock on an Intel-based MCU unable to get a read on basic BMS vitals like min/max SOC. and can’t get lower level reads on CAN signals on BMS errors for example, for a BMS_w107 BMB sensor misread, unable to pull things like BMS_a107_bmbID...

    Toolbox 3 updates

and... what's anyone know what the skinny is on the new beta Web Server Proxy? is this for Tegra-based MCUs or both Tegra and Intel-based MCUs? lotsa questions. ;-)

    Toolbox 3 updates

for example, anyone having issues pulling complete list of Vitals from Model S/X -- e.g. min/maxSoc, brick voltages, min/max brick voltage, etc, etc. basically all the foundational bits that Toolbox 2 has provided in the past

check in with @travisjewett he mentioned working with them.

Please Help... Tesla Model S: Maximum battery charge level reduced (cannot get past 20 miles)

Perhaps instead of breaking anything, 2021.24.28.xx simply removed the interpolation algorithm (fancy way of plotting an unknown value between two or more points) that Tesla originally put in place to deal with the BMB/Cell 6 issues. with that interpolation algorithm now removed, those...

Sudden Range Reduction on Early Model S with latest 2022.4.x release?

Is anyone else seeing issues with sudden range reductions on early model Model S with the latest 2022.4.x releases? (or other 2022.x versions). Have seen discussion recently that there *might* be an issue, but still not clear if it's just anecdotal (anecdote being the singular of data), or if...

Recell: certified replacement battery packs for low-range/bricked Model S

my understanding is that they have a main facility where they refurb the battery packs (I think in New Braunfels)) and the service center south of there is where they swap the batteries out. it’s a hub and spoke model

Recell: certified replacement battery packs for low-range/bricked Model S

Has anyone seen what Recell (www.recell-ev.com) is doing down here in Texas? Looks like they offer replacement battery packs with 5-year / 75,000 mile warranty on the contactors and main fuse (not bad considering the number of failures there in the earlier model years) and 2 years / 25,000 on...

Salvage Model S P85D Contactors Not Closing

@GazMav. can you share with us how were you able to clear the BMS_w026 fault? the current version of Toolbox 2 offers the ability to clear both w_023, w_026 and f026, along with some others, but then comes up with an error when you click on it in the BMS Alerts panel telling you that you have...
