Adaptive Suspension Damping… Real or Ruse? Which one do you have? Find out fast!

You can also drive over those big speed humps and do the same thing. Observations: Comfort. Softish. But firms up if you go faster (feels like the shock is adapting to with additional resistance to the higher shaft speeds) Sport. Firmish. No real difference when going over them faster...

Adaptive Suspension Damping… Real or Ruse? Which one do you have? Find out fast!

More force = higher percentage. If it didn't increase the force (%) resisting the input, you'd feel like you're driving a 1977 Buick Estate wagon with worn out shocks. What is the issue with your car? What is the biggest symptom that something is wrong for you?

Adaptive Suspension Damping… Real or Ruse? Which one do you have? Find out fast!

Just as with non-adjustable shocks, the amount of fluid Passing through the valve is going to be “stiffer” as speed of the shock’s piston increases. It’s the difference between doing a belly flop at 1 foot above the pool, versus from the high diving board. The greater speed is going to require...

    Missing Energy Screen

I miss the energy screen! I would love a live energy graph on the right side of the driver's screen. The new 2021+ screen layout seems like such a step backward.

Adaptive Suspension Damping… Real or Ruse? Which one do you have? Find out fast!

I will also add that I notice very little difference between Comfort and Sport at freeway speeds (UNLESS I hit I larger pavement height variance, at which the sport is somewhat jarring). The delta between damping % of each setting is less at highway speeds, per the display. In the city, the...

Adaptive Suspension Damping… Real or Ruse? Which one do you have? Find out fast!

Dec 2021 build... My butt-o-meter tells me that comfort is softer (less rebound and compression damping) than sport, which is definitely softer than Track. The lower the the "%" on the display, the less damping in either direction (Reb or Comp) that I'm feeling. Just something I've...

    Lifetime Average Wh/mi

2022 Model S Plaid on 19's. I'm at 317 wh/mi right now over the life of the car (8k miles) 40% longer trips at higher speeds in hot weather (with full A/C use). 60% around town with heavy A/C use most of the time. Typical road trips are in the 280 wh/mi ranges so I'm not sure why my overall...

    What does this mean? (Pic)

Thank you. I was traveling in 100 degree plus temps for about 3 hours (on a trip). I'm surprised it needed to be heated! I wish I could change the subject to be more informative. DIdn't know what to call it when I asked....

    Lifetime Average Wh/mi

2022 MS plaid 6000 miles 320 Wh/m Mostly shorter trips. Lots of A/C and cabin overheat protection use

0-60 MPH for new Long Range Model S WITH and WITHOUT "Drag Strip Mode"

IMHO, the launch is softened for sure. It's likely that way to prevent excess drivetrain wear from the many launches that some owners do. I feel like the vehicle has adequate power as produced.

This is why I didn’t buy a white one. (MSM)

    2020 Tesla Crashes in Ohio

Try this when safe.... step on the accelerator in your Tesla, even mat it to the floor. Then gently rest your left foot on the brake pedal. -->What happens? <-- There will be an investigation, however the results will not be publicized. It doesn't fit the Tesla-Short/Sensastional narrative.

    Show of hands… Adaptive Suspension

Comfort is generally good, but needs another 15% more rebound and 5% more compression dampening in the rear (to eliminate the pogo effect on larger undulations) Sport is...sporty. Try TRACK MODE for some stiff suspension. Eek!

Older 21" rims on new (2022) Model S do fit.

    Probably saves the paint! :)
