EV ChAmp app is fantastic -- will use it from now on

EV ChAmp has been updated (version 1.4.x) for both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play and Amazon Appstore) with a new option in Menu > Settings for choosing the charging voltage used in the calculations. The app previously assumed 240V as the input voltage. So this will make the...

My charge rate (MPH) at 40A and 238V

There are other possible reasons, but as a "built-in", the HPWC looks much nicer than probably any J1772 options out there.

My charge rate (MPH) at 40A and 238V

If you had an older Model S with the 80 amp onboard charger, the HPWC would give you double that at 59/60 mph. Too bad the current High Amperage Charger Upgrade only provides a 72 amp onboard charger, thus limiting home charging to a max of 52 mph.

EV ChAmp app is fantastic -- will use it from now on

You are correct that the app does not take into account the time needed to balance the pack when it reaches 100%. However, charging usually completes some number of minutes before the end time, maybe up to half an hour, depending on charging conditions, so there is usually at least some time...

EV ChAmp app is fantastic -- will use it from now on

Such a feature could realistically be added in a future update. This is a possibility, but the complication is that the line voltage may vary based on time of day and as the amount of electricity used at your location varies. For example, when your household is using less current, your line...

EV ChAmp app is fantastic -- will use it from now on

The app can figure out what model car you have. We will look into providing an option for choosing to display range as a percentage or distance.

EV ChAmp app is fantastic -- will use it from now on

The app currently only does mile-based calculations, but we are looking into updating it to also do calculations based on kilometers. When you say it does not work for cars running metric, are you just saying that it does not display and do calculations in kilometers, or is there some other...
