    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Agree. The wipers are still hit and miss. How does the front camera not recognise a sudden heavy downpour and need a manual nudge to get going

Adding a Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector as a product in the Tesla App. Why is it

I use ChargeHQ for scheduling and to ensure I maximize solar charging. The App already gives me some stats, comparing the cost of petrol to my energy supplier rates per kWh. Are their any other features I may be missing by not having the Connector in my Tesla product list?

Adding a Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector as a product in the Tesla App. Why is it

Reading App release notes, I only just saw that I can add our Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector as a product (like our Tesla car and PW2) in the Tesla App. Our Wall Connector, which we've had for over 2 years, is already connected to our wifi and shown in our Tesla Home PW2 tab in the Tesla App and...

Euro crash tester says carmakers must return to physical controls - Impact on Australia?

Unfortunately, I'm certain that Elon will refuse to retool for NCAP. Tesla owners and buyers will convince themselves that Elon knows what is best for them, and that a 4 star Tesla is safer than a 5 star NCAP car. Personally, I don't see why we have adjust to a system, that is inferior and less...

    Tesla Vision vs Parking Sensors

Removing USS sensors was primarily a cost saving measure. (Check out Sandy Monroe's YouTube on the subject). Having just finished Walter Isaacson's autobiography on Elon, it's clear on his obsession with removing all parts and processes that aren't absolutely essential. Hence removing radar...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Tesla App on Android and iPad not connecting to car. Graphic of car just has a ghost image fading in and out. Lots of posts on social media. Could be phone/tablet model dependent.

    Model 3 Highland live now

The emergency brake is the parking brake for use if the disc brakes fail eg a brake line gets fractured and there's no brake fluid.

    Model 3 Highland live now

Where is the emergency brake now that the button on the end of the RH stalk is no more? Or do you stab blindly at the screen while you trying to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

2023.26.7 Installed. No issues at present, but an anti climax as I thought this version was introducing "drive on sunshine" option for those with PWs and Tesla wall connector.

Is Car Insurance "choice of repairer" essential for Oz Tesla owners?

Can non-Tesla approved repairers in Australia mannage to source parts can their repairs void a Tesla warranty. I ask as our policy renewal as jumped over 20%, and "choice of repairer" limits the alternative options. How many here are insured without the repairer choice option?

"Autopilot limited due to poor visibility"

Like most here, I've had in many times on side cameras, but this is first time on my front camera.

Insurance is getting out of hand

Did your quotes include choice of repairer? My RACV quote has also gone up 25% this year to $1460 for SR+ (perfect record, pensioner, rural location). Currently looking around, but choice of repairer limits choice, and RACV policy includes new for old, full glass cover and unlimited period hire...

"Autopilot limited due to poor visibility"

This is a message I haven't had before. Both times early morning in sunshine. Is this the sun blinding the main forward facing camera?

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I've had this error for over a year. Not every time I get in the car, but often enough to be a nuisance. I'm on Spotify premium if that makes any difference.

Rattle from passenger side seatbelt adjustment

Mine was fixed by mobile service by removing cover and applying tape to the mechanism . The service guy said it was a known problem.
