Oh you are such an optimist.

Model 3 2023 updates? Or what would you guys like to see?

If I was car shopping (I'm not): I would have loved a metal roof and nice cloth seats. Add steering wheel with cruise control buttons, and add a stalk for wipers (yeah, I know, not minimalist). For what I have: Fix auto-wipers, they suck (I understand the interaction with the front-facing...

Has Tesla Build quality improved on new Model 3s in 2022?

My 2021 (one year old) had no defects or issues.

    Matrix headlights - when?

I just hope it work better than the auto windshield wiper software (a very low bar)

How bad is this tire damage?

Yep, replace it. Not worth sitting on the side of the road sometime, or worse, in an accident. Tires are cheaper than repairs too.

Mini Spare For Model 3, Hyundai Genesis 18" works

Unless you're sitting by the side of the road with an un-drivable flat, then the cost might look more reasonable.

    New model 3 software version?

I was on 2021.3.104 for 2 months, got 5.8 GB yesterday, now at 2021.32.21. You should be close!

When will my car get updates? Its been AGES already!

I'm at 2+ months, no updates. 2021.3.104 It's really hard to come up with a reason for a system to work like this. Oh, I don't have FSD. Maybe that's a factor.

Poll - Are you waiting for the infrastructure bill before ordering?

A non-binding amendment was passed that would limit tax credits to those making under $100,000, and to EV's that cost unser $40,000. It very likely will not go anywhere like this, but it's an indication of at least one of the forces at play...

    New owner questions

Your new insurance will take care of everything, it's very easy to switch (surprisingly).

    New owner questions

I have USAA insurance, and pay $361 per 6 months for the Model 3 (also have a Tacoma on the policy). I have a clean driving record and carry homeowner and liability insurance with them (so get a bit of a discount). I've made a few claims (fender-bender type accidents) over the years with zero...

Passenger side post peeling [protective film not removed by tesla before delivery]

I need to go check mine (just got it). There was quite a lot of white residue from the shipping wrap, thankfully it comes off easily

Selling my 2020 model 3: where can I sell it?

Carvana gave me a really good offer for my 2014 Boxster (I sold it privately and made about 5% more).

Discussion: Floor Mats in Model 3

I got the 3D MAXpider Elitect matts. I like them a lot, great fit. In past cars, I've had both types of Weathertech (the hard plastic, and the rubbery ones), which are fine. The OEM matts in my mk7 GTI were excellent, especially the CAR-GO in the rear cargo area and the movable Velcro-ed blocks.
