Weight doesn’t need to ‘hang off’ it wraps around top of wheel in 2 o’clock position. I use a child/ladies small wrist weight which doesn’t slide or catch on legs when driving manually.

If you don’t want to be nagged put a wrist weight on the wheel, I don’t for suburban driving but absolutely do for motorway driving where ap is excellent. YOU of course are still in charge but your workload is reduced and you have far more capacity to monitor what’s happening around you.
