Well most of us are still under (battery) Warranty. The issue is our understanding of what’s covered under the Warranty, and Tesla's. Having an 8 year Warranty that they say doesn’t apply in our circumstances, doesn’t help much.

Completely agree. But of course leaving it highly charged for a while, and frequent charging to a high SoC are two related but separate issues. I have always found this chart compelling.

When my eMMC chip failed, the MCU stopped working completely. Nothing that was controlled via the MCU worked. The car certainly wouldn't Charge on AC. But many owners told me it should still be able to charge on DC which apparently bypasses the MCU, ie from a Supercharger. I did not have time...
