    Major Phantom Braking Issues

I have those two and would also add a third: 3. Emergency or construction vehicles on the shoulder with flashing lights. This seems to a huge source of confusion for the software. And while yes it should be careful, braking forcefully is not the answer

Model Y Hitch Receiver: Rise Limit Question

yes as at the time (haven't checked again) the factory hitch had a lot of caveats about limits to the rise. There were also some reports of hitch failure so we didn't want to take any chances. And we were able to reduce the tongue weight significantly by moving the batteries, changing to...

Model Y Hitch Receiver: Rise Limit Question

Yes the 16'. Also want to add @ohmman that you were very helpful with your posts and answering a couple questions to get us set-up so thank you 🙌

Model Y Hitch Receiver: Rise Limit Question

We have used one with a 3.5" rise and towed an airstream bambi for a year with no issues. We did replace the Tesla installed hitch with a DrawTite

SF Bay Area - Wall Charger required?

Just moved from the Bay Area but when there I lived in new construction - I think they are confused as new construction requires a way to charge EVs. So my house had a 220 outlet installed in the garage when we moved in. We used it with the mobile charger with no problems and was great as we...

Phantom Breaking on recent road trip

How can you use when towing? On my Y, it deactivates when tow mode is activated

    CCS Adapter - ?

After having the CCS charger for a week and a half - I now have 5 different charge apps for all the various chargers and have not been able to charge on any without an initial issue. I am happy I have but is a hassle. Need to try Electrify America and Chargepoint as hoping they may have less...

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

How heavy is it? I think you will be right at the limit of range so would have a back-up plan of possible - where you could drop the trailer and come back, other non-Tesla chargers, etc. If you run into a headwind you likely won't make it and even without one I probably wouldn't chance it...

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

great post @WALLEVE . To your point on it not being in the manual with regards to using a WD hitch, I was sure you were wrong, so went to check and I didn't see it in their either. I think it used to not be recommended though - does anyone else remember reading that? I wonder if they took it...

    Model Y 20" Induction Wheels/Tires - SF Bay Area

20" inductions for sale, ~6,500 miles on them. No issues at all with the tires, 3 of the 4 rims have some mild road rash which I just covered with a sharpie. $2500 - SF Bay Area if you want to pick up. Could ship at your expense if you tell me how to do it as never shipped tires before.

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

Yes, I 100% agree with everything you said and that has exactly been my thought process here. I don't think there is a good answer honestly as all of the info on the need for a WD hitch is also counterbalanced by both Tesla and Draw-tight (and any other receiver I have seen for Model Y) all...

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

So an Anti-sway bar like this: Reese Friction Sway Control Kit. They are well reviewed everywhere and while there is no weight distribution they work well to control sway (according to all the reviews). They also detach quickly which is a plus for re-charging stops. I have to re-weigh but...

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

I did get the Draw-Tite hitch installed. Am not going with Weight Distribution yet though as both the hitch and Tesla manual say not to use weight distribution. So am going to try a sway control bar and focus on preventing that. We were able to reduce the tongue weigh some by moving the...
