@raggedy they did fix the sanding marks. The picture was for before. It looks good now. I think it was just a matter of buffing it up. See I still attached for the fix. It’s completely gone now. My door colors are all match, no issues there

just in case people are wondering, I decided to bite the bullet and keep it. The nick is highly visible, but putting my faith that Tesla will fix it during my service appointment midst of August. Thx for the sound voice.

my biggest worry is that they can't fix the nick because it's deep and the layer have been covered w the clear coat. Thus, making it permanent

@glide was inside the service center today for bad sanding mark. It looks like they focused on that and didn't fix the nick. (touch up paint on the nick which make it worst instead). see pic for the botch sanding near the fuel

Thanks @CaliX, Appreciate that. Had some sanding botches that they fixed today, but they missed the nicks. Going to have to come back for them to fix. Does your nicks as bad as mine? or worse?

@BLW2, It was there since delivery. Documented by Tesla rep. That picture is at Tesla delivery center.

After a long wait, I finally got a model Y last Thursday VIN 32xxx. All looks good with some minor acceptable defects. The only thing that really bothers me is a knick in paint at the passenger side rear door that's very visible. Wondering if you guys think this is fixable? If it is not...
