    Eemc fixed under warranty!

I scheduled a service visit the moment I got this email, since we have been experiencing the blank screen intermittently for months now. However, the tech got back to me and said they "didn't see any problems on their end" and wanted dates and times for previous failures. Of course I don't...

One-fob-click door close is the devil

Well it's a Christmas miracle! The 8.0.2 update has implemented triple-click-to-close and a few other great features (double click again to open passenger door, summon with fob). If you're reading this Tesla, thank you! You've made me love my X all over again. The automatic doors create the most...

    v8.0 Renders one-pedal driving extinct....

This could definitely explain my experience - the weather happens to have gotten significantly colder here around the same time as 8.0. In fact I just learned the meaning of the "yellow dashed line" on the regen display. So I'm going to say that there are too many variables for me to say one way...

    v8.0 Renders one-pedal driving extinct....

Sorry, I wasn't totally clear in my writing - By "off" I meant the "low" setting.

    v8.0 Renders one-pedal driving extinct....

I wish I could describe it in more detail but regen on our X definitely has a different "feel." I don't think it's a single variable change, but a series of adjustments. I noticed it because I've had regen off for a couple weeks (it created a "jerky" feel to the drive which I disliked) and...

    Windshield Wiper Visibility Issues

Same experience with ours. We live in the Pacific Northwest and the recent heavy rains have really exacerbated this issue. It smears on the way down, somehow always right in the center of my vision! I would happily replace the blades but this doesn't seem to be an option - the blades have...

New Firmware double click open driver door disable?

We were having breakfast at a local cafe this morning - someone walked in the door and announced "Hey who here drives a Tesla? Your driver side door is wide open." Embarrassing. All I can think is that the fob double-clicked in my pocket and the door opened by itself. And there's no way to...

7.1 > 8.0? Seems like an update for Tesla's legal team, and a net loss for customers.

I have this exact same experience. I have always assumed that it's like this for everyone, but from some of the other posts in this thread, maybe I'm wrong. Do others find that simply resting their hands comfortably on the bottom of the wheel is sufficient to avoid the "Hold Steering Wheel"...

One-fob-click door close is the devil

I actually agree with this. I think letting us turn it off was an important short-term solution for safety, but I am holding out hope that they come up with some other click sequence (I think triple-tap on the top would be great) that will close all the doors. Because I have found that I do miss...

One-fob-click door close is the devil

Looks like today's software update turned the "close all doors" feature into a setting that defaults to OFF. Which seems pretty much perfect to me. Very very glad they added the ability to turn this off - Tesla, if you're watching this thread, my family thanks you!

One-fob-click door close is the devil

This has been the most frustrating part of our X. Over the first month we've owned ours, I have closed doors on friends, family, and small children about 15 times. It's really scary and makes the car less attractive. It's a wonderful feature when used intentionally - it's just far too easy to...

Musk had enough of the Falcon Wing Doors yet?

We absolutely love our FWDs. They perfectly accomplish what I imagine were the original design goals: ease of dealing with kids and car seats, and easy access to the third row. I was VERY nervous about them solely because I don't like attention, but I now enjoy them and am confident we'll see a...

    Twin babies and Model X?

16 month old twin boys here. We went with the 6-seat configuration and received our car yesterday. So far we are thrilled with our decision! The big car seats are front-facing in the middle row "captain's chairs" and leave plenty of room to move them forward and access the back row. Having the...
