Money well spent: tire repair kit

This is the tire repair kit that I use and highly recommend it. It's the same kit used by the tire professionals: https://safetyseal.com/kits/

    What the puck?

The centering device is just a piece of plastic that screws to the bottom of table/chair lets to prevent scratching the floor. I don't know what they're called but can buy them at hardware stores. I find it helps center the puck at the jack point but the it doesn't hold the puck in place (i.e...

Tire for 19" Gemini wheels less prone to scraping wheels?

Has anyone tried a different tire/size for 19" Gemini wheels which would be less prone to scraping the wheels? May need a different tire size than the OEM 255/45R19 tire size. If so, what tire and size?

Model Y AWD - puck size discrepancy

I just bought 4 hockey pucks from the sport store and used a rubber bumper screwed into each of the pucks. The bumper just help center the puck at the lifting point and doesn't hold the puck in the place. But works fine with a hand jack for rotating tires.

Advice on charger location in garage

With the MY hatch fully open, the highest point is the lip of the spoiler and it's ~90 inches from the ground. It's almost 8 ft which is quite high. My previous car, Honda Odyssey can fully open the rear hatch without hitting anything above in my garage. The MY cannot and I've set the MY rear...

Advice on charger location in garage

Another thing to consider which is not obvious until you park your MY in your garage is that if you drive-in into the garage, you won't be able to fully open the rear hatch as it will hit the overhead garage door opener rail. Be sure to set the opening height of the rear hatch before you try...

20” induction winter tire package on MYP sucks….what should I do

Off-Road Assist made a big difference for me in snow/slippery road conditions. Without it, the car felt like it was on the verge of fishtailing. With it, the car is stable and balanced.

Factory Continental tires for driving in snow?

I have the same tires on MYLR and it does drive with a "twitchy" feel, like it's going to fishtail every time the accelerator is pressed. But enabling "off-road assist" made a big difference and it drives more stable and balanced.

Heavy Snow and Icy driving Tip

I was getting skeptical about my MYLR on slippery and icy road conditions cause it has so much torque that it feels like it's about to fishtail when the accelerator is even lightly pressed. Today, in the light snow, I tried "off road" mode and it made a big difference. It drives more stable and...
