Regenerative braking weak compared to model 3 performance?

Regenerative braking weak compared to model 3 performance?
I just picked up a model y std Long range and I noticed the regenerative braking is not nearly as strong as my model 3 performance. I am having to use brake pedal more often when driving model y bc regenerative braking doesn’t slow car down as quickly. Is this expected? thanks!- Hoosier523
