Plaid 5 and 7 seat option removed

Have 2 X’s on order. Both plaids, both configured as 7 seaters. Goal was to remove the 2nd row and make 4 seaters. Tesla called today, discounted both orders by $3k, and turned them into 6 seaters.

Air conditioner fails twice in two years - advice appreciated?

Thanks for the tip @David.85D - this is the second time my compressor's gone out. The first time was ~December 2020 around 110k miles or so, give or take. Currently on a road-trip and the compressor went out during a supercharge when driving from Vegas → Phoenix. Luckily the weather's great...

If you can't sleep in it, it is not self-driving

Do your passengers ever complain when you do? Mine tend to freak out. Don’t know what their problem is.

Which goes further for $43 - a Tesla or a Gas Car?

I would agree, but only up to a point. You want to focus on the idea of "efficiency" beyond just the driving metrics. Living in TX my home charge uses a TOU plan where the juice is free from 8pm → 5am. Guess when I charge. Yup. 8pm → 5am. Cost: $0.00. Hard to beat that efficiency. Here's a...

    Cracked forelink?

FYI - I had my front forelinks proactively replaced (the A part number → B part number) and also kept the old A parts. Jan 2017 S build. Not sure if any 3rd party can do an analysis to determine a manufacturing fault but happy to supply the old parts if such an analysis can be done and if it...

    Source for Bilstein coil struts?

Did you happen to have those part numbers?

    Supercharger - Tifton, GA

The point is I will charge (and at no charge - thank you FUSC!) for as often and as long as I need. :)

    Has anyone repaired cooling louvers?

One of my replaced cooling louvers failed a few weeks ago compromising the HVACs ability to cool the car. Tesla replaced the failed part under the limited new part warranty (from the initial replacement of the cooling louvers last year).

Another front suspension control arm failure

Jan 2017 S75D here with coils. I did the replacement out of pocket for the two front forelinks (i.e. 1041570-00-a → 1041570-00-b and 1041575-00-a → 1041575-00-b) out of an abundance of caution mindset. Still have the "a" parts too and wonder if it would ever make sense to send them off for an...

    Supercharger - Tifton, GA

True - but would add if you've got a (foldable)bike you're looking at about 6min / .4mi per google. My play when road tripping is often to do 100% charges at SCs that are walkable/bikeable to a gym (specifically LA or Lifetime, as that's where I've got memberships). For my S75 that typically...

Supercharger - Phoenix, AZ - East Camelback Road

Gym/workout friendly location. Note there is Lifetime Fitness easily walkable from here (4min / .2mi) as well as a LA Fitness a little further away...maybe a little far to walk but easy to bike (5min / 1mi).

    Supercharger - Louisville, KY

Gym/workout friendly location. Note there is Planet Fitness easily walkable from here (4min / .2mi).
