4/3 MC Cable for the Charger

Why are you buying the material? A professional licensed electrician does not go to Home Depot to purchase their material. They deal with electrical supply houses that sell higher quality material than big box stores. My NJ licensed electrician used #2 four conductor aluminum for a over 150 ft...

4/3 MC Cable for the Charger

Use a licensed electrician from your state that will apply for a permit and inspection. Installing a wall charger that draws 48 amps is a device improperly installed can start a fire, burn down your house, and provide an out for your insurance company not to pay. I'm just sayin

    Based price in invoice

I'm sorry that I ordered the seven seater in 2022 when it was $3000. Used it once and the third row has been folded down ever since. Only very small children can fit back there.

Do I have to buy and carry extra charger in the car for long trips?

I have all of the above as well as a CC1 adapter and a 30 foot extension cord. Never had a need to use any except the CC1 adapter in 30k miles and seven round trips from N.J to Florida. I only camp at Marriott properties that have hot showers, comfortable beds, indoor pools, fitness centers and...

Frunk Latch Failure on a Saturday Night

I think it was just a random failure. Last year I had a trunk latch failure. The Frunk is often used as I have a Costco cooler in there. What made me happy was that the Tesla Service Center on Okeechobee Blvd in West Palm Beach Florida is open at 7AM till noon on Sunday.

Frunk Latch Failure on a Saturday Night

Last Saturday night while in Florida My 2022 Y suddenly had a Frunk Latch Failure. The Frunk was closed but the screen indicated that it was not. A service request was opened and Tesla informed me that the Tesla Service Center in West Palm Beach was open on Sunday at 7AM.The vehicle alarm was...

Model Y - vehicle 4 weeks old already 2 tire punctures - warranty coverage?

Although I've had the misfortune of replacing three tires on my Y, at least the Tesla tire repair van comes right to my house to replace and balance the new tires. I have no intention of driving 75-80 MPH on I95 between NJ and Florida with plugs in my tires. Two dangerous in my opinion.

Is there a reason to get the Tesla wall connector over other level 2 home chargers?

I had a NJ licensed Tesla approved electrician install the Tesla Gen 3 Wall charger in my garage prior to the purchase of my Y I received the PSE&G $1500 rebate as well as off peak charging credit. I have my charger set to begin charging to 90% at midnight and the cabin temperature set at 70*...

Weird ChargePoint Electrical Inspection in NJ

Don't take offense but FWIW in my opinion anyone that purchases an EV should have 200 amp service with a dedicated 60 amp breaker and a Tesla Gen 3 wall charger.

Is it normal to take delivery of new Tesla Y model without the latest software version?

FWIW, I've had twenty nine software updates on my 2022 Y since taking delivery in September 2022. I am currently on 2024.2.7

    Nail in tire

Of course they charge. Elon wouldn't have it any other way. It is much nicer to wait for the tire van to show up in my driveway in my house than schlepping from one tire place to another to have some inexperienced kid put a plug in that may or may not hold or possibly lead to a blowout. I often...
