For 2023 Tesla owners who purchased & qualify for $7500 tax rebate but have yet to received the form, here’s how…

My return was accepted with my VIN via TurboTax but I just received a letter from the IRS claiming there was an error on my return because they could not verify my VIN for the Clean Vehicle Credit. I did some research and Tesla did not have my Form 15400 in my Tesla Account but I just requested...

Just updated to 2023.13.9 - Why is my MY charging?

My off peak rates always start at midnight, so instead of scheduling the Departure (your shared image 2), I schedule by Charge, then "Enable Scheduled Charging" and "Start Charging at 12:00 AM." I'm not sure if that explains/resolves your issue, but the setting is working great for me. The...

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

The 4D1 motor is manufactured in Austin and almost every Austin build MYLR is now coming with them. Most of the 4680 MYAWD are getting the 3D5 but we are now starting to see some with the 4D1. Fremont MYP's often have the 4D1, as well, but the MYLR typically has the 3D5. You can look at MY...

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

My tracking has been focused on US/domestics motors, but we did get a couple responses from Canadians. I'm not sure why. but their Fremont built MYLRs received China built motors (3D6 or 3D7).

Lots of questions about the new base Model Y coming out of Texas

The 4680 battery MYAWD (or just Model Y on tesla.com's order page) will typically come with the lower performing 3D5/990 motor, whereas the MYLR and MYP vehicles typically get the 3D1/980 or newer 4D1 hairpin motors. This is probably why the 0-60 times are a bit slower versus the MYLR (and why...

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

Read post #204 in this thread, Jim Smith did some data logging with Ingenext and highly recommended the upgrade.

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

Ok, my tracking spreadsheet is getting a bit too big to share the image, but I am seeing some trends. First off, some MYLR vehicles initially had the F in the 8th VIN digit, identifying as a performance (and having the 4D1 motor). That has seemed to stop with all recent MYLRs showing the E...

Just received my new car without ultrasonic sensors

Same here, not impressed so far. I honestly would prefer to disable it, since it makes annoying chime noises and I can't even trust the distance estimates

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

Thanks. The 3D3 you attached is for the front motor, the rear 3D1 is what is most important. For now, I will assume the 3D1 was also manufactured on 2/26/23 (23057). Not sure if your MYP is a 2/2023 or 3/2023 manufacture date.

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

I have received information from 20 MY's - only 2 are Performance and the other 18 are LR. Of those 18, 16 had a performance motor (3D1, 3D7 or 4D1) and 2 had a standard motor (3D5/990). I'm still hoping to get info from from a MY AWD. It does appear all of the 3D1/980 and 3D5/990 motors are...

2023 Model Y no USS discussion, incl. Discussion of Tesla Vision Firmware

The person later corrected the statement by saying the feature was found in update 2022.45.11. I'm a bit confused, because I do not have USS and am already on 2023.2.12. Do FSD Beta vehicles run on a completely different software version?

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

Read post #112 in this thread, Ingenext offered me a 25% discount if I would let them do some testing on the new 4D1 motor. I'm not a big speed guy, however. it looks like you have the 3D1/980 Performance motor, which is typically compatible with the Ghost upgrade.

What motor does your 2023 Model Y have?

Thanks for the sharing the video. People seem to think the hairpin motor can improve performance by 20% to 30%, but his theory is Tesla is choosing to provide a hairpin motor with similar performance, but with 20% to 30% reduction in rare materials. That would make sense but is still just...

No charge stats in the tesla app?

The app charge stats are restricted to the owner account. Are you the owner or an authorized driver? I recently purchased a MY and can see the charge stats but I'm also an authorized driver for a M3 but can't see those charge stats - since I am not the owner. This is from Tesla Support "Note...
