I have had my plaid for 5 days now and definitely notice the startup shudder that lasts about 1 mile of driving. After that the shudder is completely gone. I have not tried preconditioning yet but others have found it unhelpful. As long as it is not something structural, I'm completely fine...

I have the exact same experience. Goes away in about a mile and does not return during the drive. Does not seem to be related to suspension height. And I agree I feel it in the pedal and the steering column as well.
