Where can I purchase Tesla Model 3 Tire Pressure Sensors

There is such a simple fix for this. Just install a 5th TPMS sensor not in a tire directly to the computer, and use that reading for the offset. Then the readings would be gauge readings, and would include the affects of both elevation and temperature. Wonder why they didn't do this....

There is such a simple fix for this, connect a 5th tire TPMS directly to the computer (not in a tire) and use that reading for the offset calculation, then the result would always be an accurate gauge reading, including allowance for both elevation and temperature. Blog Tesla Owner Cleared of Criminal Charges After Explaining ‘Dog Mode’

My wife used dog mode when she had to go to emergency. Cop was very understanding when she came out to sort out the concerned citizens a couple of hours later. Dog enjoyed all the company!

Near freeway divider collision - on autopilot

Another comment about the AP system bringing the car too close to the edge of lanes... In standard traffic design, when the there is a hard barrier, there will normally be a wider section of pavement next to the barrier, what we call the 'shy distance', which recognizes that drivers will...

Near freeway divider collision - on autopilot

My background is in Traffic Engineering, and I'm a recent Model 3 owner. I have played with AP, and I'm very impressed with how far Tesla has have gotten with the autonomous driving technology, and the challenge in making it work throughout all of the different road configurations around the...

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

Another reminder for those of you in BC that are expecting the 7 day trial period on purchase (i.e. refund if you're not happy with the car), as advertised on the website. It doesn't apply if you ask them to process any rebate on your behalf. I was never able to establish if it's possible for...

Full refund on Model 3? Includes Order Payment and taxes?

I get the difficulties about car loans, refund timings, etc, but I never got that far, Tesla refused to take the car back, in writing, citing the clause that excludes refunds if the car has been purchased through any kind of grant or rebate program. Full Stop. This occurred in BC Canada, I...

Warning to potential Model 3 Buyers in BC and Quebec, Canada

Richyrich - I didn't go nuclear, Tesla stated to me in writing that they will not take back a car in BC that has been processed through the rebate, full stop. I followed up with two phone calls, which with Tesla is a very difficult thing to do as they don't tend to make phone calls I have found...

Warning to potential Model 3 Buyers in BC and Quebec, Canada

One of the supervisors advised that they could take the new car in as a 'trade-in' for the extended range version. I read this to be "We will give you a trade-in (used)" value, not "We will give you your money back". If the 'trade-in" value was the full price paid, then they wouldn't have...

Warning to potential Model 3 Buyers in BC and Quebec, Canada

Weighing in again, thanks for the great discussion. I am familiar with EV's and range, bought a Leaf for our Municipality some 4 years ago, and installed one of the first level 2 chargers in my area though the BC grant program at that time. I was torn between the regular and extended range...

Warning to potential Model 3 Buyers in BC and Quebec, Canada

Thanks for the tweet address - doubt will make much difference! - I did do my research, I had a leaf before and know how this stuff works - I thought the double range would be enough, and it is if you don't use the car for anything else, but I would prefer the extra battery size and was prepared...

Warning to potential Model 3 Buyers in BC and Quebec, Canada

And yes, I called customer service on day 6 (Nice lady in Toronto), she understood my concern and advised me to contact my "salesman", actually she said she would do that for me, but as I only had one day left on the 7 day period so I got a-hold of him right away by email (they don't answer the...
