does the 199$ go towards the 10k$ if i was to outright purchase it? for people that are planning to keep their car for the long haul how is the subscription worth it if u can just save 200$ a month for about 4years and purchase to keep forever?

does subscribing to FSD monthly go towards fully purchasing FSD? for example if i was to subscribe for 5years paying 200$ monthly (not factoring in interest) would i just end up getting it for free seeing i’ve paid well over 10k if i was to initially purchase it outright?

hmm maybe, maybe not... but i always get a pretty good trade in credit quote. so im maybe looking at adding (i think) 3k extra dollars to get all the updated features and a refresh on the car itself (tires, mileage, paint job, more secure location for the sentry usb not to get taken.) i didnt...

i just wanted to add. 2021 versions also come with a center console charging station, a USB drive for sentry mode. and the location where u plug in that usb drive is now located in the glove compartment where its password locked to make it harder for potential thieves to steal the drive to not...

brought a SR+ in october 2019 and i traded it in for an LR early this march. biggest reason battery life... SR+ full 90% charge came out to be around 213m, which is kinda good. but very noticeable when or if you use your car alot living in new york city because i dont have the option to charge...

just to add i purchased a 2019 sr+ in october... and 5months later im trading it in for lr. and for one major reason, even tho sr+ battery capacity says it’s 250m... its more like 235 in actuality and thats on a 100% charge and your not suppose to charge to 100% because of a faster battery...
