I lost to Tesla in Arbitration

You might have a bit of credibility if you didn't just join to flame Tesla. You have had the car 9 months ago and you just joined... Interesting🤔

    Normal mileage for a tire?

I’ve purchased a wide variety of tires for all kinds of vehicles. From my experience, differences between brands is not that dramatic, types of tires like summer performance and all weather, etc is. There are too many variables between drivers, road and environmental conditions to truly...

Close Encounter With Roadside Mowing [what is this going to cost to fix?]

Well, the owner of the mower business investigated and it was not a failed blade. The inside rocker which is hardened steel and has to have a cold repair was also damaged. They consulted Tesla engineering on the repair and will have to precisely cut out the damaged area and the surrounding...

Close Encounter With Roadside Mowing [what is this going to cost to fix?]

Not sure. Whatever it was may still be embedded in the car.

Close Encounter With Roadside Mowing [what is this going to cost to fix?]

Yes the mower stopped, called his supervisor and the owner of the company doing the work for the state called. Asked to be presented with an estimate and he would write a check. My issue is supplementals once they get into the repair. Just have a paint scrape on my motor home repaired last...

Close Encounter With Roadside Mowing [what is this going to cost to fix?]

Well, Saturday I had a close encounter with a projectile coming from a John Deer Tractor mowing the grass along the roadside. Not sure how they can fix this damage or what kind of cost will be involved. The owner of the company called me right away and said tossed an estimate and he will write...

Ditto on the Smokingman advice. I use a low profile floor jack with proper rating.

Went from 2020 MY to 2022 and Regen Braking option gone, lower regen too

Regen braking aggressiveness is also affected by battery charge level. Look at the energy bar. When regen braking, the bar moves left and is green. If your battery is highly charged, regenerative braking is reduced. This is indicated on the energy bar on the left side by a broken or dashed line.

    Electrify America

Based on the quality of the Tesla box it came in, I personally can't see the need for a case, I'm just placing it back in its box and in the frunk it goes.

trunk hook for latest Model Y

That is for a M3. In the trunk of the 3 there is a protruding bolt on the right side under what is the back deck. It screws onto the protruding bolt like it is a cap for the bolt

    Electrify America

My CSS1 transaction totaled $309. Pretty cheap for a backup considering I believe the Tesla CHADEMO charger was $495 when it was available from Tesla. I know now I'm covered for probably 95% of the charging sites out there.

    Electrify America

Yes you can. You will need to find an EA station with a J1772 plug so you can use the J1772 adapter that you should have with your car or have purchased the CHADEMO adapter that Tesla used to sell. Only other option is to do what I did and purchase a CSS1 adapter from Tesla Korea through a...

2200 mile round trip drive: M3LR or ICE?

Let's see: 1>. Tesla has "fun factor" over any truck unless your off-roading. 2> Tesla much much more economical over the truck Most importantly, it's a car, you bought it to drive so drive it! Wear and tear happens unless you just bought it to be a "Garage Queen"

Suspected repeater camera defect that affects FSD performance

First off, let me set the record, I paid to have my repeaters replaced. As to blaming Tesla not to replace the repeater cameras under warranty, I have to agree with them. This is not a design defect or manufacturing issue of the cameras. I originally asked if they would replace them under...
