    2021 Model 3 ticking sound

I have had the same exact issue in my 2021. I thought it was speaker too because of the way it sounded, but I am pretty sure that it is the dash creaking when expanding and contracting when HVAC turns on. I believe it is this because I hear it only when the car turns on and there is a large...

    Tinting only side windows?

Quite serendipitously, yesterday I had the side windows and windshield tinted, but the shop didn't get the large roll delivered in time so the back window has to wait till next week to get tinted. Side window are 3M Ceramic 25% and windshield is 70%. One thing I might suggest is to have the...

Still available? I can pick up too, no need to ship. Have you lowered your asking price?

Has anyone traded in their 3 for a 21 refresh ?

I sold my 2020 SR+ to Carvana for $34k and bought a new one for $34,190 after the NJ rebate. Was a no brainer. My wife loves the new interior so much more (she hated the fingerprints and stupid cover that we never closed over the phones). I really think the heat pump makes a nice difference for...

Do us a favor, give her a call please, Elon ! [complaint about insurance company rejecting coverage]

It is definitely has more to do with the cost to repair and not the susceptibility to damage. Tesla’s are extremely expensive to repair because they don’t let 3rd party body shops to repairs. That is why there is a big “right to repair” movement in many states about manufactures being forced to...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

I just picked up my 2021 today and I actually called the SC when I got home because I thought the little tray under the armrest was missing, turns out that the 2021s don’t come with the removable tray, but the delivery person said that there will be a tray available in the near future from the...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Yeah, from what I can see they can. A Model Y can go over 325 miles on 78 kWh battery compared to VWs new ID.4 which has a 250 mile range with an 82 kWh battery. I would say that is statistically significant. The only car company I have seen that challenges Tesla’s efficiency is Lucid but they...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

I think it it is for the same reason that Apple does post specs on their devices, the software and hardware are developed together so efficiently that posting capacities and power numbers would look underwhelming compared to competitors even though it outperforms. At the end of the day do you...

    EZPass mount location

I mounted mine on the little flat spot behind the center screen and the wood dash. It is completely out of view from all passengers but is visible from outside the car, and I have never had an issue with EZ Pass not reading it.

Should I trade in my 2019 SR+ for the 2021?

Not sure about the technical terms you used, but when I went to pick up the car from the store one of the documents I had to sign was to agree to exempting sales tax. I remember this specifically because the sales advisor said something along the lines of, "Sign this for the sales tax...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

yes!?!... to what? Yes, it is software optimization? Yes, it is new batteries/motor? Yes, powertrain is the same but has a new rating because of the new more efficient heater?

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Unfortunately I don't have the time to read through the 36 pages of posts before this, so I don't know if someone already asked this. Anyway... What is the reason behind the 13 mile range increase? Is it software optimization that will be pushed to my 2020 SR+? Is it a new rating because of the...

Should I trade in my 2019 SR+ for the 2021?

I'm thinking the same thing as the OP but I have a 2020 from Dec 19' with 11k miles on it. However, in NJ electric cars have no sales tax and they now have a $5,000 state tax credit that I didn't the first time (because it wasn't a thing until Jan 20'). For fun I requested a trade in a month...

    Best speed for road trips?

What is the most optimal speed for a Model 3 on a road trip? I have been trying to figure out the answer before a cross country road trip and it is not a simple question. Traditionally, with an ICE car the faster the better because they can refuel at +6,000 miles of range per hour. But speeding...
