Any other owners second guess if their next car should be another Tesla?

thinking about R1S or GV60 for next EV

    New model y range issues

80% SOC should be able to go 155 miles without having to drive like a grandma. I frequently drive to San Diego (~100 miles one way) and do +/-10mph over speed limit, leave with 90% SOC and arrive with ~45%-50% remaining. Granted I know everyone's situation and condition are different.

    Anyone had the roof tinted?

Tinted my roof with 50%, keeps the inside cooler. Still very hot to the touch on a hot day, but it doesn't radiate inside the cabin as much.

Do I need an additional dashcam?

I installed a 4k 3rd party dashcam in my MYLR

Red Dot on Tesla App Icon

I have "1" on the Tesla app icon as well. Can't seem to get rid of it. I've opened the app and clicked on every tab and screen there is and the "1" is still there.

    Phone Mount Recommendations

I tried many phone mounts and this is the one I like most. The mount can be angled towards the driver. Also note that I installed the swivel screen mount as well. Amazon link

    Long Line for Charging

except if you're behind someone who doesn't want to or doesn't know how to leap frog and back-up to the next open pump, but instead she/he (mostly she) waits for the car immediately in front of her to finish pumping.

When home, my phone is always close enough for the phone key to authenticate with my MY, so if my charging cable is plugged in it can unlock my car

how about using the phone app to manually lock your car? that's what I do when I park in my driveway, but most of the time I park in my garage.

    Backing into charging spots

HA you're right, I just went out to check and the backup view doesn't shrink when the two repeater cameras are on, the size is fixed. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's too distracting to me to see three camera views on the screen as I'm backing up.

    Backing into charging spots

My personal preference is to not use the side repeater cameras, I prefer to view the back-up camera in full screen only and use the guide lines.

    Shameful lack of quality control

Here's more rust under the seat for you: rust under front seats

Southern CA Edison rates make it not worth charging at home

80% of my use is during off peak hours, primarily because peak hour is 5 hrs out of 24 (80%). I'm very conscious of not running high electrical appliances btw 4-9pm.

Southern CA Edison rates make it not worth charging at home

SoCal Edison customer here on the TOU-D-PRIME, winter rates: 4pm-9pm (peak 44c/kWh); off peak all other times @ 18c/kWh.

    New model y range issues

I drive to San Diego often (105 miles one way). I charge to 90% (296 miles) before my departure which would be plenty for a round trip, but driving at 75-80 mph I arrive with 45-50% remaining, and the nav is indicating I'll be down to ~10% on my return. That's a little bit out of my comfort zone...
