    Vinyl Wrap or Paint?

The difference between an expensive and cheap paint or wrapping job are the details. Most "complete" wrap jobs only cover the exterior. They look great with the doors and trunks closed when experienced technicians wrap it. That's how most people get their car wrapped, paying between $2.5k -...

    Supercharger - Los Angeles, CA - W. Olympic Blvd. (LIVE 19 Nov 2022, 16 V3 stalls)

Convenient and fast, but there currently are no amenities here. I could use some coffee and a bathroom.

No Longer Able to Adjust Current or Charge Start Time

I haven't been able to adjust charging start time and charge current for about a month on the 2020 M3 I've owned for over a year. Have there been updates that turned these features off? I am able to adjust Scheduled Departure time, so I've been using that. The Switch to Schedule Charging...

Musk Says Giga Berlin Will Be Testbed For New Tesla Technologies

I guess my Model Y purchase will have to wait a few years.

Tesla Insurance - rate increase, no bad history?

Have you ever filed a claim with Geico? If so, how were they?

California Auto Insurance: Share Your Claims Experience

USAA recently doubled the insurance for my Model 3, so I am investigating new insurance companies. I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest insurance, I'm looking for the cheapest insurance from a company that follows through when you file a claim. Who here loves their inexpensive...

Tesla Insurance - rate increase, no bad history?

USAA doubled the insurance on my M3. It went from $1,012/year to $2,074. Full coverage, $1k deductible two drivers over 50 with spotless records. I'm shopping for new insurance.

How much do you pay for auto insurance?

I'm paying over $2,000/year with USAA in California. Full coverage, $1k deductible. My wife and I are over 50 with spotless records. USAA quoted me $1,012/year before I purchased it; I don't know what happened. I'm going to start shopping around. Now, to find good insurance companies.....

Any way to get safely on 4 jack stands?

There doesn't seem to be a consensus for the best way to get four M3 wheels up. I sure would like to use my Esco stands. It looks like Safejack has some competition for the Rennstand by a company named VKRP...

Smelly interior on entry but clears up with AC on

If it were a BMW, I would say it's caused by mold brought on by residual moisture near the AC condenser. An easy way to check is to turn off the AC about 5 minutes before you park and let it sit a few hours. I do this every time I park my BMW when using AC to avoid stinky smells.

    TeslaOffer Rocks (long post)

I suppose TO's response time depends on the time of day you ask it. I asked an important question at 1 PM Pacific Daylight Time and received a response at 9:30 PM. Considering the 15 hour time difference, Raymond was probably asleep when I asked the question; not to mention all the troubles...

Hansshow vs Tesla Offer Power Frunk/Trunk - which one to buy?

The frunk is a lot easier than the trunk. It doesn't have a CAN Bus connection and everything comes off easily in the frunk (did you have problems with the CAN Bus PnP like me?). I spent way to much time routing the wires and then rerouting them so they are intrusive. I wish I had watched...

Hansshow vs Tesla Offer Power Frunk/Trunk - which one to buy?

I just installed my Tesla Offer (TO) funk, and it wasn't without issues. First as with the electric trunk, the kit doesn't come with instructions. Unlike the trunk kit though, TO had taken down their online instructions. They did have a video, but it was for the older version. TO may have...

Our Model 3, 2 years later

Most of my cars in the last 20 years have been BMWs; usually purchasing them used with 3 years on them. One thing that I noticed on these cars are that some malfunctions are due to aging electronics. Many BMW enthusiasts attribute age-related electrical problems to increased resistance in...

Hansshow vs Tesla Offer Power Frunk/Trunk - which one to buy?

Thank you for your quick response. Yes, it looks like you ran those cables properly, and I'll do the same. It doesn't offer moisture new access into the trunk and doesn't stress the cable. The "official" Tesla Offer solution is to run the cable under the trunk weather stripping and into the...
