Blog Tesla to Reduce Interior Options for Model S and Model X

This. Textile seats in a premium flagship car that costs this much make no sense.

InsideEVs: Key Fob free to current owners!

The phone works fine almost all the time but the issue is when someone’s out and about and their phone battery dies.

ICE: Would you ever go back?

Still have ICE. Will permanently switch to EVs once there’s more variety as the current choices are very limited. And Tesla’s, while great in many areas, are sorely lacking in others.

    Grinding Noise on Bumps

Check underneath the vehicle. I hve a loose cover on the underside of the car that rubs against the road. Have to take it in to service.

Is it smart to buy FSD for $5k while it’s still available for MX owners?

You’re forgetting competition. Tesla can’t charge way more than competitors will for self driving. They might even get there first.

Where can i buy CLEAR GLASS for Tesla X

Why would you want clear glass that would let in skin damaging and cancer causing UV rays?

Tesla Model 3 Drive System Validated after 1 Million Miles of Testing

It’s not going to be the drive units that will lead to end of life for these vehicles. It will be the body, interior, seats etc. I doubt even a Lexus could go 1 million miles without the body & interior seeing significant deterioration.

    Seat (dis)comfort after 5,000 miles

If that’s the case and there are substantial car by car variances, then Tesla really needs to improve their ability to produce quality vehicles consistently. Either that or people are not comparing to other high quality, comfortable and well insulated vehicles.

What part(s) of your Model 3 are unpainted from the factory?

Can any one confirm this? I remember watching a Tesla factory video that showed that the corrosion protection is also sprayed on instead of being applied in a bath. I remember thinking spraying would not provide 100% coverage like a bath would.

Who will never get on a Tesla waiting list again?

I’ll probably do it again for the Model Y. But I’d like it to be a better car than the Model 3. Needs better wind and road noise isolation, more comfortable and adjustable seats, less spartan interior with an instrument cluster and basic creature comforts eg. power trunk closing.

The Nag makes driving on Autopilot almost impossible for me...

I think the Cadillac Supercruise system gives you some time to respond if I’m not mistaken. GM didn’t want to classify it and you’re required to pay attention but I’d guess it probably has the capability to be a level 3 system on mapped, divided highways. I too hate the autopilot nag. It nags...

    New blind spot monitor!

Agreed, a beep or a vibration of the steering wheel would be very useful and completely overcome the lack of wing mirror lights.

Matrix LED headlights finally coming to the US!

I disagree. If that was the case, why would people use high beams. This technology is essentially high-beams that are usable at all times with other vehicles in the vicinity.

    Seat (dis)comfort after 5,000 miles

Even some mainstream cars costing way less than $35,000 have much lower wind and road noise, eg Chevy Malibu, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, Buick LaCrosse etc

    Seat (dis)comfort after 5,000 miles

I have a recent build with gen 2 seats. I wouldn’t say they’re terrible but they’re also not good enough for a premium vehicle, esp the short and low bottom cushion that lacks adjustability. It doesn’t help that the car suffers from high wind and road noise. IMO comfort is the biggest knock...
