    How Secure Are Teslas/Tesla Thefts

I see mention in this thread that the MS cars stolen may all of had the MCU 1 unit and not the MCU2!? Is that just a theory or does an upgrade to MCU2 fix this particular security issue.

Can anyone diagnose this damage cause? - we suspect during Tesla service

Thanks for the further comments....I can assure @Adopado that in my profession I don't make up anything to wrangle a free repair.......anyway, by and large these support my feeling that this is Tesla's liability. I will let you know how it goes.

Can anyone diagnose this damage cause? - we suspect during Tesla service

Had a closer look today and took another photo. It is pretty clear that there is a complete absence of dirt/debris along the torn edge compared to the rest of the assembly which would indicate to me that this is recent damage. If Tesla did this and then left it for me to find and then have lied...

Can anyone diagnose this damage cause? - we suspect during Tesla service

Hi We had the MS in for a "radar calibration" and this resulted in them fitting a new radar bracket which I think involved taking some of the bumper components off. It got the cruise control working again but when we got the car back and opened the frunk the photos show what we found - the...

Model S nearside rear light cluster

Model S nearside rear light cluster in full working order. 2017 vintage. This was swapped out last year under warranty as we had noticed an occasional condensation issue. To be frank the replacement has been just the same. These seem to go for north of £200 on certain auction sites. I would be...

Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

I haven't read anything other than the last couple of pages of this thread so this will have been covered but my take on this is that many historic Tesla buyers purchased with a view to gaining access to the heavily advertised exclusive use (and free for me) SuC network. What would interest me...

    Octopus Smart Meter Experiences

For the previous poster - try tweeting them - much quicker. I recently switched to Octopus just before the crazy price hikes and we are about 10 days into our supply. I contacted them today to enquire about smart meter installation and got a link straight backed and booked for mid November which...

    Octopus Smart Meter Experiences

Oh and I meant to ask, how do the referral codes work if I do switch?

    Octopus Smart Meter Experiences

I have read through this thread and can see that there are variable experiences with Octopus. My position is that we pay a fortune for electricity as our cold house although of modest size gulps the stuff via night storage heaters and water heating etc. We have no gas. Although we have a MS we...

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

This is interesting but I would really welcome a UK based driver who can comment on this as well

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

Thanks for this link - very helpful. From reading it it seems that it is the shift from HW2 - HW3 that enables dashcam and sentry and this is independent of the MCU version fitted. So what would be helpful would be to hear from any UK based MS owners in the same position as me ie HW2, MCU1 and...
