My 2021 641xx Oct build has the two piece casting. You can see by removing the rear seat and looking for the bracket that bolts the two castings together.

I bought the same one. The quality seems pretty good for the price and it fits tight - almost a little too tight. My Y is mainly under a carport or parked at a dusty resort I frequent so it won't see much rain. I mainly want to keep the dust and ash off of it and keep it clean longer.

I do find my 641xx VIN car is very quiet on the freeway, possibly more so than the Y test drive I had a couple of months ago. Also, the heat pump is pretty quiet. It makes a light whirring sound that is MUCH quieter than the early Ys. I’m very happy with the build quality on my Y.

I picked up my model Y today and it does have laminated front side windows. I do not see any other differences. BTW, my Y is practically perfect. There’s just one scratch on the plastic wheel trim piece. I’m very pleased. It was the easiest car buying experience I’ve had.

I have a 644xx VIN I’m picking up tomorrow. I’ll report back if it has dual pane front side windows.

I see that you ordered the white. They must be building blue now since I got a VIN 2 days after I changed from white to blue.

I ordered 9/28 (white/black, 19”, tow, no FSD) and had a VIN a few days later. It was a 2020 VIN so likely built at the end of last quarter. I didn’t have my finances ready yet, so released it and also wanted a 2021. I decided to change to blue on 10/18. I just got a 2021 VIN (641xx) today...
