Understanding traffic data on navigation map

"In his usual dive into the source code, green discovered that Tesla appears to be moving away from its traffic data partner, INRIX. According to green, Tesla used to get this data exclusively from INRIX, and then moved to a combination of INRIX and their own data. Now it looks like Tesla will...

Understanding traffic data on navigation map

So, then, how real-time is the traffic information? My understanding is Tesla is no longer using Google data - only GPS from Tesla vehicles. Can't be that many in any one city.

Understanding traffic data on navigation map

I am having trouble understanding the traffic red and orange lines on the navigation map. I often see red or orange lines on a road when there are no cars there. Is the traffic map not in real time?

    Airbag warning light remained on

Ok, at least they are consistent.

    Airbag warning light remained on

Spoke to a service rep. He suggested cancelling the service appointment, as this is a known issue - a software glitch - not a problem with the airbags. Says an update is coming. If it is strictly a software issue, how come it is not more widespread?

    Airbag warning light remained on

Well, the airbag warning symbol is back, so I am definitely keeping the booked service appointment. Thanks

    Airbag warning light remained on

I have a 2 week old model 3. This morning when starting to drive, I heard a noise I have not heard before and then I noticed the airbag warning light stayed on. I booked a service app’t right away. Driving later in the day, it no longer is on. Anyone else experience this? Should I cancel the...

    Preconditioning question

Ok, makes sense. I have a 48A, 240V outlet. I have turned off preconditioning for the summer. Will worry about it in the Fall. Thanks.

    Preconditioning question

I thought preconditioning doesn’t draw electricity from battery if charger plugged in. Am I wrong?

    Preconditioning question

You haven't lived till you've driven a Tesla on a sheet of ice!

    Preconditioning question

Fair enough. No need for preconditioning till Fall. Will turn it off. BTW, I just ordered winter wheels/snow tires.

    Preconditioning question

I understand the additional cost. Not an issue. I just wasn’t clear whether there was additional wear and tear on the car. I don’t really see the analogy with an ICE vehicle. Thanks.

    Preconditioning question

I picked up my new M3LR this week (first Tesla). Phenomenal car! One question. I set precondition to 9AM each day. On the weekends, I may not go out till the afternoon. As long as the car is plugged in, is there any problem running preconditioning/interior temperature for several hours?
