Fluid going bad means it will have moisture it in which can start to corrode the brake lines and cause fade under heavy prolonged braking - MOT won't pick this up at early stages. Just because a vehicle passes an MOT it doesn't mean there isn't a problem.

They don’t test the fluid. It would have to be really bad for the fluid to visually fail the MOT check.

Not Cherry red, only the new Ultra red. At this stage we don't know if China has been updated to spray Cherry red or they will come from Berlin. ATM no other countries supplied by China have Cherry Red as an option - which implies they could have switched UK production to Berlin.
