    I’ve been able to keep my car powered up by charging the 12 V battery every night with the trickle charger. Tomorrow I have an appointment with the Tesla service center. But I have a little little faith in them. They always seem to miss diagnosed these things. So I will pass this information...

    Well the entire car shut down this morning and I couldn’t even unlock it. I finally jumped it from another car and after a bit of dinking with the reset buttons I got the whole thing to come back on. So now I have a trickle charger on the 12 V just so I can get around a bit. Still think this is...

    They looked at it 6 months ago and said it wasn’t failing “enough” yet. So maybe this qualifies? My understanding was the MCU failure just caused the big screen to go out, not the whole thing- rendering it undrivable. I mean, I can even unplug the charger because nothing responds.

    Tried looking for this issue and can’t find it anywhere. I’ve had a problem for a while where my model S won’t boot up. First time it happened I came back from a week out of town and couldn’t even get the car to unlock. I jump started the 12V and thought I figured it out. But it happened again...
