Just got it yesterday and my delivery appointment is tomorrow. So all pretty last minute. My SA has been telling me they're pretty swamped atm. I suppose all you need is a weekday or two of notice.

Exactly how it happened for me. The only reached out to me 5 days prior to delivery but everything was already set.

I might just go this route instead if they have a config I like. Small discount and you probably get you lumbar support and radar still in the cars (or at least you can check rather than roll the dice on delivery day).

I would agree with everything you said, if Tesla willingly let their buyers know about the change and what their options are (eg. refunding the $100 deposit, or reimbursement/credit). We have to acknowledge that the only way we came to know of this is because of this (awesome) active community...

There are some issues tied to it. Usually a car purchase has a lot more depending on it. It's not really like buying a phone, you can walk up to the next store and get whatever you want or just walk away without any major impact on your day to day life. Unless you live in a large urban center...

Is 12-way adjustable power front seats listed at the time of order not enough? Because we're now at 12 for the driver and 8 for the passenger. BMW couldn't follow through with their spec and just offered a reimbursement. Like I said, the onus is on the party that couldn't deliver and BMW owned...

I'm glad you made it out and are happy with the car! You're a very patient person who really wants their car. I hope Tesla knows that not many will stand for this kind of treatment once any real competition comes around in the not too distant future.

Not if Tesla continues to ignore the need for a CCS adapter in the future. CCS will surely outnumber Tesla Superchargers within 2 or 3 years. It's the standard going forward.
