    Buffeting/Booming issue survey

It's definitely not in your head and is a characteristic of the car. I've driven a few different Y's and every single one of them had this issue. The Model Y has unfortunately a loud boomy cabin. Autotrader and some other reviews mention this as well ie: "on British roads it’s let down by an...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

The 23 Y seems the same at least with the tailgate and tailgate rubber seals. At least from what I could see when I was looking for changes to that area. I test drove a 23 Y with comfort suspension and rear shelf, I was very disappointed! It was a little smoother and a little quieter on the...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I've done most of the above(I still have the stock suspension) and the suggestions from this very long thread helped quite a bit, but I was still able to sense mild pressure changes while driving on certain types of road surfaces. A month ago, I took a weighted blanked, folded it up and placed...

What is differences between 2023 Model and 2022, others

This is a 2023+ MY change, the cars are no longer coming with ultrasonic sensors. You are probably thinking about the radar sensor that was removed from the cars a while back.

What is differences between 2023 Model and 2022, others

One difference is the 2023 models will not have the ultrasonic sensors. Today, we are taking the next step in Tesla Vision by removing ultrasonic sensors (USS) from Model 3 and Model Y. We will continue this rollout with Model 3 and Model Y, globally, over the next few months, followed by Model...

Radar getting turned off on Model 3/Y with 2022.20.9

Maybe removing any saved wifi networks from the car would stop the car from downloading updates? I'm pretty sure, but not a 100% positive that the updates are only downloaded over wifi. Also, turning off the wifi is not sufficient due to it restarting next time you drive.

Radar getting turned off on Model 3/Y with 2022.20.9

I have vision only 3 and when I engage autopilot at night it turns on the auto high beams even though I have the auto high beams feature turned off in the settings. :( This does not happen on my radar equipped Y.

Radar getting turned off on Model 3/Y with 2022.20.9

Those of us with radar can use autopilot at night without auto high beams! I think that's a benefit since the auto high beams don't work well! It's not fun driving down the highway with them going on and off...lol!

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I would expect all new 2022's produced now and going forward to have the sound damping pad that Sandy Munro pointed out. Adding sound proofing to the wheel wells as ilovecoffee showed in his video makes a big difference!

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Yeah, one layer didn't seem to make any difference and I covered the whole 2nd shallow sub trunk area! That was before the Sandy video. I ended up with 2 or 3 layers of butyl(I don't remember sadly) in that 2nd shallow sub trunk area. I thought I have plenty of extra butyl might as well...

No, I meant the second shallow subtrunk that in a five seater is right behind the rear seats.

    Ear pain/Pressure help

@ilovecoffee Great video! I would like to add one more thing that I haven't seen people talk about. Around the time Cyber Rodeo was announced Tesla started adding a sound damping pad to the rear piece casting. I was watching this Munro Live video: I attempted to try to do the same with the...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Tesla quietly removed the 7 day return policy right when the model Y was ramping up production. So most of us never had the option to return the car. Tesla’s seven-day return policy has been quietly removed

    Ear pain/Pressure help

I decided to try adding some butyl will a little bit of Norico foam on the back headliner part by the hatch. However, I did not add it to to the liner. I knocked on the frame with headliner partially unclipped and it was booming, so I applied to what I could. I didn't what to take the back...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Hard for me to say. I weighed a 19" x 19.5" piece of Noico butyl and it weighs 1.94lbs.
