Article from Noah from Pre-Dinner/ Model X event

Thanks for posting, Bonnie. Yeah, what can I say, the more time passes, the less I like the doors. Weighing the pros (style, alleged ingress/egress advantages) against the cons (style, vertical clearance) I keep coming up with: They should've just designed a better sliding door. Would have fit...

Pictures & Video from the Model X Unveiling (02/09/2012)

Probably the best Model X photo gallery I've seen so far. Shows the interior fairly clearly, including how the falcon windows "wrap up and over" to create scooped-out head room for the third row occupants. Tesla Model X Rear Three Quarter Doors Open Photo 4

Pictures & Video from the Model X Unveiling (02/09/2012)

Here's my quick video/write up on my Model X test ride from last night. Note, I'm a reporter for a commercial tech review site, so if linking to our content is a no-no on this forum, please delete the post and I can just re-post with a video embed. Not trolling for pageviews, just wanting to...

    Was the unveiling car AWD?

Yes, according to the Tesla rep who was driving my test ride. The test ride course was very short, but during the straightaway portion he specifically referenced, "You can feel the AWD working here, right?" (or something to that effect).

    Reactions to the Model X

Getting in and out of the third row in the prototype last night was nearly impossible for me, a 5'11" male, due to lack of room between the front of the rear seats and the back of the second row.. BUT, the second row of the prototype was not sliding fore/aft, and I was told that it will in...

    Early dinner, Feb 9th (pre-Model X Event)

Is it okay for me, the reporter who "crashed" the dinner, to post a pic? Hope so :-) Thanks for having me - you folks were incredible welcoming, and I had a great time getting to chat with some of you and learn about your love for your cars. And I got a ride in a Roadster Sport, which was...

Pictures & Video from the Model X Unveiling (02/09/2012)

The other car at the party was basically an exterior sheetmetal shell with a dummy interior. Doors didn't open, and peering inside you could see that the interior was a steering wheel and a bunch of sculpted foam. Agree that the car is very cool. I found the ride to be very similar to the S...

Pictures & Video from the Model X Unveiling (02/09/2012)

I'm 5'11" and was able to sit comfortably in the third row so long as I kept my head in the scooped out area above. When closed, the falcon doors form part of the headliner above the third row - and the areas directly above the two (bucket) seats are actually parts of the doors' windows, which...

    Journalist request / Pre-early dinner Feb 9th (pre-Model X event)

Hey Everybody, I'm Noah - said journalist, party crasher, and "the guy from that Twitter case." Thanks for considering my request to swing by your dinner. In all honesty, I'm just hoping to get a taste of the culture around the cars, and the people who drive them, to make this an even more...
