    Still on 2023.2.12...

Finally received 2023.12.1.1 on my 2021 Tesla Model Y LR (No FSD)

    Model Y Snow Chains

I called up Tesla and the rep said it "should be fine" and he wasn't aware of Tesla changing the tire size over the last year or so. My car was manufactured in March 2021 (Tesla Model Y - LR w/ 19" Gemini Wheels). So I made the purchase, there is a 30-day return policy if they don't fit.

    Model Y Snow Chains

I'm seeing the exact same thing on my 2021 Tesla Model Y! It doesn't make any sense... I have the 19" Gemini Wheels.

With touchscreen freezing, why would I buy FSD

Technically I was serviced at the Fremont Delivery Hub which I was told is a "hidden" service center that is only available for customers with issues in their first 100 miles. It use to be a Delivery Hub, but its now been turned into a service center for new issues. 47623 Fremont Blvd...

    Removing FSD Pre-Delivery

Tesla is insane asking people $10,000 for FSD. Even if FSD, was actually Full Self Driving, it still would not be anywhere close to worth $10K.

Call your agent, don't take advise from people like me on the internet. :)

    Removing FSD Pre-Delivery

Insurance doesn't cover FSD, period. It doesn't matter if you purchase it with the car. If you don't believe me, read your auto policy. Auto policies exclude software.

How often do you have to reset?

You might have a defective cable. Many of us with 2021 Model Y's made in March had to get a special cable replaced to fix this issue. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/with-touchscreen-freezing-why-would-i-buy-fsd.220621 You'll see how we all came to the conclusion in Page 3 of that...

With touchscreen freezing, why would I buy FSD

I feel fortunate that I live within distance of Fremont, they were able to get the cable and install it the same day. I intentionally drove to the Fremont service center though.

    Y Performace vs LR?

I went with the MY LR + Acceleration boost and am very happy. I totally could have afforded the MYP but it was not worth the decrease in range, and the harsher driving due to the bigger wheels. If I could have purchased the MYP with the Gemini wheels I would have chosen it. However, I think the...

With touchscreen freezing, why would I buy FSD

$429 - Labor $830 - Parts Total: $1,259.00 Out the door my card was charged $1,335.78 including tax. I have a $100 deductible with AAA, and since I get 2% back on my credit card, the replacement is really only costing me $73.28.

Push back on them. Tell them that you know other people who got revision "E" of the cable in their 2021 Model Ys. It's possible the "D" version of the cable you get won't have the problem, since there were plenty of Teslas coming off the assembly line without this touchscreen issue. However...

With touchscreen freezing, why would I buy FSD

I dropped my car off at the service center on April 2nd to fix a bunch of quality issues with my car. I was suppose to pick the car up tomorrow but shot them a message about the screen flickering issue. Looks like they are indeed now ordering the "E" version of the cable. I'm expecting to get...

I just looked at the Tesla Parts Catalog and they apparently now have an "E" revision of the cable.
