On Dec 27,2021 Tesla service said my on-board charger needed to be replaced. The cost was $2500.00 for my 2013 tesla model S. I then I noticed it said remanufactured charger on my repair receipt. I have two concerns as follows: 1.) Service agent said it was covered for 2 years is this true ? 2,)...

I just had my on-board charger replace on 12-27-2021 on my 2013 Tesla model S. The cost was $2500.00. I asked for my old charger and they explained that I would have to pay another $1000.00 if I wanted it back because that's the core value.

I just had my on-board charger replaced on my 2013 Tesla model S and they said the old charger had a thousand-dollar core charge credit. So, if I wanted my old charger, it would be another $1000.00. The bill for this service at Tesla was $2500.00 out the door.

I currently have the exact issue with my 2013 Tesla Model S . I almost had a small stroke when the quoted $3000.00 plus tax. Your questions mirror my questions. I hope someone gets back to us with some answers.
