    Aftermarket ventilated seats

So those are just seat covers on top of the existing? What does the back look like?

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

Does anyone know how to get a URL to show up as a favorite or whatever on the main browser screen? Mine used to show up but at some point I accidentally deleted it. Now I have to go to the favorites bookmarks and then click on the URL from there versus previously the home browser page showing...

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

Same thing happened to me. Next time youre in the car, after your phone connects to the Ownice bluetooth, use your phone browser and go to 3.3.3.3 then update the software. Fixed it for me.

Hate that these things block so much of the airflow from the vents, which I still think was a dumb design for Tesla though I guess they didn't assume anything would ever be put there to begin with.

@Mandingo I’m digging the blue painters tape personally. 😜 So do you find yourself constantly reaching into the steering wheel to type addresses in Waze etc? My Audi Q5 isn’t touchscreen and I find it incredibly distracting to use the rotary wheel to navigate around CarPlay which is why I...

No, it's my biggest beef with the device, especially since my wife drives it more now.

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

FWIW...After changing how my Ownice was connected to connecting it via my tow package harness thing, which automatically powers it off when I leave the car, the unit has become way more reliable than when I had it plugged into my USB port and "forgot" to unplug it. It's also faster to boot up...

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

It looks like a great solution, but at upwards of 3-4 times the cost, and if I recall was it a 1 minute load time? Is there a description of how it is hooked up to the Tesla? At first I wasn't a huge fan of the Ownice, but now that I have it hooked up to the power connector in the wheel well...

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

Hotspot never worked for me for some reason, and yeah, Tesla loses network connectivity when you hook up the Ownice (maps won't load either). I canceled my premium subscription since Apple Carplay and Android Auto are just so much better than native Tesla apps. Really only miss being able to...

Is the car keeping my garage warm?

25-30 degrees of "heat" sounds quite odd, even if the car is plugged in on the time. I definitely haven't noticed anything. But then again, I have a 2 car tandem garage that has 700sqft of floor space and 13foot high ceilings. Is your garage a single car, smaller garage?

I’m on 2.8.14 and can’t zoom? If only Ownice would be able to bypass the hdcp or whatever protection to allow Netflix etc to display it would be awesome. Apparently it’s not that hard to do either.

@Mandingo great write up. I use Tidal. The Tidal app in the Tesla has one big advantage, which is you can search songs or artists. On CarPlay it won’t let you search, you can only play your favorites, playlists, etc. That’s probably the most irritating thing annoying the CarPlay integration...

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

Okay, well managed to get things back in shape though I needed my heat gun to remold the plastic. Note to anyone doing this...only remove the carpeted layer not the moulding, it's a b*tch to get to the plug but better than messing with the moulding. @Mandingo This was an awesome find. Using...

Plugged in the harness. Can’t seem to figure out how to get the plastic moulding back in properly? Doesn’t seem to clip in anywhere?

Finally grabbed the harness and should get the converter tomorrow. When you installed, did you shove the converter into the compartment or leave it out? This might actually be a good thing to connect dash lighting to. Most of them connect to the lighter which means it’s on all the time and...
