Will Tesla Stop Using 12 Volt Lead Acid Battery as the Warranty Replacement?

Auxiliary battery failed at 4 1/2 years, 28k miles. Tried to buy replacement battery over the counter, but they won't sell one that way. Service call scheduled for next business day, total cost $118. Fine, as Service Center is 60 miles away. Walmart had 51R (right size) in stock for $149, but...

    v11 software update SUCKS

It seems Tesla doesn't care what we think, there is no way to send in comments and suggestions for improvements that I could find on their websites. Agree with listing above. All we really wanted to change on the screen was to move the phone button back to the main screen, not to disguise...

    What Phantom Drain??

Just got back from 43 day trip, fully charged midrange Model 3 lost 20 miles of range in that time. Looks like software updates solved that problem. .

    Model 3 Tire Pressure

After a service call last summer, the local Tesla service Depot returned the car with 47 lbs in each wheel, and the road noise was unbearable. I have mine set to 39 from warmer weather and noticed that on cooler mornings the TPMS says 37 degrees, with no warnings. On our third world quality...

Battery drain while parked or car in storage

This summer, I did a 48 day trip.charged to 80%, parked the car on the driveway. Upon return, I had lost less than 2 miles per day. Sorry I forget the exact charge remaining %, but it was about 50%

    Sound Deadening Model 3

I use those every night - works on snoring too!

    Sound Deadening Model 3

I do not have a wind noise issue, but tire noise is a biggie on our local 3rd world caliber roads. After a recent Tesla service appt, somebody there inflated my tires to 47 psi front and 45 rear! The noise level increased dramatically, so I loiwered them back to 37 cold, which is yielding 41...

    Road Noise

My M3 is 6 months old, 3300 miles, and road noise at speeds over 50 is really intrusive. Seems to be coming from the back, but I cannot isolate it. We need Bose to make a sound cancelling device for the car!

    My Tesla Model 3P @ 6 months - the HORROR!!! ;-)

While I only have the Mid-range version, the Model 3 of loads of fun to drive all the time. Love the instant torque and responsive handling and steering. As a long-time Porsche 911 owner, I really enjoy having such a fun daily driver. My only complaints are the lack of an speed-variable volume...

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

I have an older Samsung S5. When leaving the house, I have to wake up my Tesla app and it works to allow me to open the door and drive. When out and about, it works 95% of the time without waking the phone up from my picket. Twice the car quit unlocking and the app said to activate airplane...

    Calculating Charging Costs...

One could argue that fixed distribution costs and other misc. charges are something you have to pay whether or not you have a EV, so the true cost is the additional KW used by the vehicle times the rate when you charge. Here in SoCal, changing to EV Time of Use rates will drop my summer KW rate...

Driving from Las Vegas to Southern California on a single charge

I had an experience at the Tesla Store in Buena Park, CA where the first stall charged at 19Kw, the next at 28Kw and finally moved to another that charged at 48Kw. There were no active chargers adjacent. Is this common? I called to report it, and next time is was back up to full speed. Is...

Really old house from 1800s plausability to only use superchargers?

I tried to get to use my Wall Charger with my full 1964 100A panel by adding a subpanel to share duties with the electric oven, which would not be used during the overnight hours. But, when using the NEMA load calc form (...

Wish my Tesla was not lazy - not waking up

My wife's Samsung S9 wakes up the car much faster than my S5. Faster processor, better Bluetooth?

Tesla Model 3 On Supercharger V3: Here Are The Charging Specs

Well, this will be very nice. Yesterday evening, I went to the Buena Park, CA store/supercharger. There was only 1 Model X actively charging. I was about 25% charged. The first charger station charged at 28 amps. After 10 minutes, I tried another - it charged at 18 Amps, so I tried a third...
