Blog Faraday Future Shows Off First Pre-Production Vehicle

The FFZero1 reminds me a lot of the Batmobile. Nice to look at once or twice but not a timeless and classic design like the F-1 or Ferrari 308GT. Just my 2 cents.

Blog Faraday Future Shows Off First Pre-Production Vehicle

Actually I was thinking about it and it occured to me that maybe some Tesla engineers could work with McLaren and surprise Elon with a McLaren F-1 prototype that comes pre insured and with a "watch this" mode switch in addition to the ultra ludacris and flux capacitor modes. The flux capacitor...

Blog Faraday Future Shows Off First Pre-Production Vehicle

Nice to see another startup in this space although it will be difficult to compete with Tesla on cost and overall engineering design. I am surprised that they went with a station wagon configuration for high end car. People who surf may like this configuration assuming a surf board fits in it...

Blog Gene Munster Examines a Potential Apple Investment in Tesla

Tesla needs the cash to purchase or lease new factory space and hire more factory workers and Apple needs the vision. Apple is sitting on 160B in cash. And Apple would be a good investor to have because they are more likely to listen to Elon than other investors which don't understand...

Blog Gene Munster Examines a Potential Apple Investment in Tesla

I forgot to mention solar which will have many new products as well. Clearly Tesla is resource constrained. Going private would not have helped this situation. Raising capital in the public markets is the solution. And it will decrease short interest significantly once the deal is done...

Blog Gene Munster Examines a Potential Apple Investment in Tesla

Tesla can pick and choose from the investors that stepped forward to help take Tesla private to raise additional capital. I think it would be nice to get some investment from Apple. Elon may want to remind Tim Cook that Bill Gates invested in Apple when they were down and out after Jobs...

    Tesla going Private @ $420?

Elon, You have also inspired me to keep my company private. However I have no idea how to find really good private investors. Any tips you could provide would be helpful. You know how to reach me. -Pete

    Tesla going Private @ $420?

Congratulations Elon on your decision, I will miss fighting for TSLA, but will not miss the distraction that it presented for all of us. Perhaps we all can focus on more important things now like world peace, poverty around the world, addressing climate change and building rockets to go to Mars...

    General Discussion: 2018 Investor Roundtable

And that doesn't mean 400,000 warehouse jobs where people work in really hot and cold warehouses with no HVAC getting payed $12,000 per year. and meanwhile forcing retailers like Macy's who's workers are treated with dignity and respect are forced to close stores every year. Not the best for...

    General Discussion: 2018 Investor Roundtable

I would say the big difference between Amazon and Tesla, is that Tesla is working on building cars which is a 100 times more difficult business than using computers to replace brick and mortar stores. So Bezos is now focused on even higher margin businesses where he can replace humans with...

Boring Company Selected to Build O’Hare Express in Chicago.

Realize that with regenerative breaking, the batteries could still be charges slowly by a 3rd rail leading into stations so that as the pod slows down it is slowly charged. Perhaps super capacitors could buffer some of the charging from the the third rail to allow a more gentle charging of the...

Could a 3rd rail be used for charging in certain areas of the tramway where its is safe? That way the batteries are not cycled so deeply and would have a better battery life.

Batteries and tires are going to require a lot of maintenance versus trains 3rd rail and metal wheels. Tires every 100,000 miles at least and batteries probably every 500,000 miles. This might not seem like a big deal but when you are talking 100s of buses or skates then it starts adding up...

Boring Company Selected to Build O’Hare Express in Chicago.

Penn station moves 600,000 people per day or 1000 people every minute. That's more than JFK, Laguardia and Newark terminals combined which takes up 100 times the area of Penn station. Something to consider. That's why the Hyperloop train makes so much sense to me.

Boring Company Selected to Build O’Hare Express in Chicago.

Basically this is just an underground electric bus system. Not sure whats wrong with a plain old train with LYFT auto driving Tesla cars or buses at each station to take people to their destinations. Trains can move a lot more people than individual skates or buses. Arteries of of trains with...
