Update #2: Decided to have just the bumper (small cut) repaired and repainted. Total cost at Vanderpool's : $600, and very nice work. Friendly place, prompt and professional. Certainly recommend this shop. . . .

Update: Just got a quote for the same work at Vanderpool's in Tucson: a little less than half that of the "Tesla approved" shop.

Indeed. Looking at the situation from afar---with no local, inside info---it appears that the T & I Committee Chair held the bill. But all bills can be "resurrected", although that's a much harder and certainly more opaque process. Any one here have any information on what's happening?
