2021 Model 3 Tire Fell Off - Get your bolts checked ASAP

I'm not saying they are broadly unsafe, but I am saying that Tesla has a problem with quality, and I for one don't trust them because they also have a problem with honesty. OP's wife seems to not really be in the trusting camp, either, and with good reason, IMO. People act like Tesla gives a...

2021 Model 3 Tire Fell Off - Get your bolts checked ASAP

It's a known problem with these cars. The simple answer is probably the correct one: tesla quality sucks and they did a bad job. @OP: listen to your wife. She's the logical one. Don't reward this company by buying another car from them when they've proven they don't deserve your trust...

    Major Phantom Braking Issues

Yeah, everyone should train themselves to reflexively accelerate when the car wants to brake. I cannot think of any way that could possibly go wrong. Or, wild thought, tesla could try eating a slice of humble pie, admitting they're wrong, and work to fix these issues before going back to the...

how much does the windshield cost?

$1100 in the sf bay area a few months ago, at service center

Wrong location on GPS and not able to do a soft reset, should I be concerned?

The way I ended up fixing this was disconnecting the HV battery, the 12v battery, and letting it sit overnight.

    Karpathy leaves - what's next for AP/FSD?

    What's next? Not refunds, unfortunately.

Wrong location on GPS and not able to do a soft reset, should I be concerned?

How'd this end up? Having the same issue.

Would you get another Model 3?

I'd rather stop and charge in a comfortable, quiet car than go straight through in one that I'm not comfortable in. That said, the e-tron you drove would be the fat one, which is shorter range but even nicer inside. This one should be good for over 200mi real-world range.

Would you get another Model 3?

Oh god, no, not the E-tron GT. I'm not in that income bracket. I mean the Q4, the Model Y competitor! Anyway, the e-tron models seem to have a nice sane service expectation: Check the brakes, cabin air filters, wiper blades, etc. No superfluous nonsense.

Would you get another Model 3?

Nope. Finally switching to the crossover/SUV world, begrudgingly. The limitations of having a trunk are finally catching up with me, and nobody makes a cool wagon that I can afford (Porsche, if you want to make a charitable contribution to me, I'm ok with this…) That said, I'm not going...

Dr. Mary (Missy) Louise Cummings should be opposed for NOT really being expert on FSD for cars

Maybe if Tesla would actually listen to human factors experts from time to time, they wouldn't have done dumb crap like using wheel torque sensors to determine hand presence, among other things. Now one will have a say in what they do, even if they don't like it. Stupid games played, stupid...

After what time has passed would you consider an FSD class action lawsuit?

Almost as much as is wasted by lawyers ruining everything. 🙃

    Safety Score

Safety score only matters for peasants. https://electrek.co/2021/10/14/tesla-pushes-full-self-driving-beta-investor-without-perfect-safety-score/

Who with a score of 100 and more than 100 miles is still waiting for FSD roll out?

https://electrek.co/2021/10/14/tesla-pushes-full-self-driving-beta-investor-without-perfect-safety-score/ All that hard work to get your 100s or 99s, and someone with a known-terrible score still gets the beta ahead of you people who played by the rules. Trash company does trashy things...
