You are right, it was the 12 volt battery and it was only 9 months old. Tesla said the battery was defective and that is why there weren’t any warnings that the battery was low. Tesla replaced it for free:)

That was my first thought, but I haven’t notice any spongy braking.
I know the motor lubrication is bright blue but was it in 2014 as well or was that color added to later models ?
It’s at Tesla now so I will find out and report back.
The oil is almost clear and smells like lubricant or motor oil, definetly patrolilum based but fairly light weight. I would has suspected brake fluid but I haven’t noticed and brake pedal pressure changes.

I have been waiting 2 months for a new windshield for a Volvo and there is no end in site. They don’t even reset my schedule for service at this point. This problem is industry wide not just Tesla
