I got offered the update a couple days ago. Was busy at that moment and forgot to schedule it for the night. It disappeared and hasn’t come back. My car says my software is up to date as of 12/5/2023…..and won’t update the updater. *shrug*

I feel like you’re arguing for the same thing. “What’s one more thing to distract you?” Yeah…one more thing to distract you. Hence, the problem. I do check speed when driving around, but I certainly don’t do it every thirty seconds.

Similar experience for me. I had only one (screaming kids caused me to miss the warnings, mea culpa) in all the months of beta. Now on 10.12.2, I have 3 new ones, none of which seemed “normal”. Got one today, looking straight ahead, hand on the wheel, no warning at all. It’s a little nuts.

I’ve gotten a couple in 10.12 wherein there was essentially no warning. Very interesting.

Got FSD pushed yesterday. Been at 99 for about a week. 2021 vision Y.

Woke up to a VIN this morning! Ordered 4/13 in Springs. Vin is 188 range! Estimated delivery 5/28-5/31. No word from tesla as of yet!

I'm in Springs, ordered 4/13 MSM. No VIN yet! Got a text from Tesla Delivery a couple days ago saying they think the car should arrive next week, and confirmed I could pick up. My SA says he expects cars to start arriving next week as well. From where, I do not know.

I’m with you. Nothing but a RN for 3 weeks. I like to think it means our cars are just sitting at the SC waiting for the firmware fix. Probably not true at all, but we can dream, right? Right?!

The fact that this driver is an idiot notwithstanding, how is this even possible? The article makes it sound like he was dead asleep for a long while. You have to put pressure on the wheel every 30 seconds. Maybe I’m being naive, but I don’t get it.

That makes me feel a lot better. Given a large enough sample size, there will always be fluky things like this.

How do you think that will work with insurance? I’m under the impression you have to have your vin to get insurance, and you have to have your Tesla actually on your insurance to take delivery in many states (including mine, CO).
