    HDMI interface to the touchscreen

may be a silly question ( same pre ap car too ) , just checking you are pulling the cruise control stalk towards you ? If so make sure the stalk is not pressed in before pulling it towards you ( orange light should be off ) . other than that double check connections , i had one not seat...

Hoping to buy my first Tesla - a used Model S - what should I look out for?

From recall of talking to owners on the forums they are covered under standard warranty when burnt out like that . I'd be more concerned about not being able to test drive it, so they deliver the car to you ? really should take it for a quick spin before accepting it if possible .

looks good , both headlights are due for replacement this should be covered under standard warranty . Usb ports for sentry should be located in storage compartment under armrest . Take it for a test drive

Hoping to buy my first Tesla - a used Model S - what should I look out for?

seems like a good price , you will not be disappointed . I would highly recommend the mcu 2 upgrade , its a night and day difference in usability . some things to check daytime running lights , check they illuminate all the way round the headlight some had a tendency to burn out door handles...

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

i ran to 45 psi when on the 20" Mx slipstreams, went with 21" on the wheel config page, im not sure if that effects the range estimate. Also had a alignment after fitting them, they wore very evenly. How are you finding them so far ?

2013 Model S 85 quick clicking from rear when put in drive and reverse

that is a strange noise that changes based on speed, making the noise while wheels were stationary too . Bearing or oil pump failure? either way if it was replaced in oct 21 it should be under warranty, right ? Good video here of the internals of the motor 23min onward

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Staggered with the Mx 20" R 275/35 , F 245/45 ,Find it to be a more stable ride, epically on smaller roads here in the uk where some have quite a concave shape from the middle of road to edges, helps water run off towards kerb and drainage . With the 19" I'd notice the car tracking the camber...

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

I can highly recommend a set of 20"Mx slipstreams on a p85 , noticeable improvement in rear grip and cornering stability due to wider tyre and less side wall. they look great on the car and don't rub , they fill the wheel arches nicely although more prone to kerb rash as they sit further out ...

    Passive Entry no longer works

strange, have another look through the settings , there is some to do with which handles present if i remember rightly . ive had settings change on me in the past . having multiple handles fail is not unheard of , but all at once might be a stretch . Could always book it in for service , most...

    Passive Entry no longer works

i think the issue might be related to a faulty microswitch that senses the press of the drivers door handle , as you say it works on the other doors.

Model S Plaid heating system sucks!!!

Climate setting on auto ? That seems to work best for me just set a temp and let it do its thing . Might be different now with the new vents

    HDMI interface to the touchscreen

i had a hdmi box that would split audio out to headphone jack, then fm transmitter from that , solved the delay from bluetooth but like you mentioned still had static sometimes on mcu 1 . on mcu 2 with the fm tuner add on it seemed a bit better .
