USA MY RWD has soft limited LR battery!

The data for the 2024 Model Y RWD is already out, ~66 kWh extracted on the EPA testing. The outstanding question was if it was software locked or a physically smaller pack, which has now been verified to be sw locked. That was evident by the curb weight of the vehicle but good to have...

USA MY RWD has soft limited LR battery!

Yeah, they also can't use imported LG packs for 2024 Model Y even if they wanted because of the "Foreign Entity of Concern" restriction which would disqualify them from the EV credit.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

You mean Model 3 LR not Model Y, right? Model 3 LR was recently re-introduced in the US and range went down from 358 EPA miles to 333. Makes sense that it's due to the LG pack. That's what I thought but just wanted to confirm because they've recently started delivering Shanghai made cars in...

    Pricing strategy for 2023?

You just fold down the seats, the trunk space with the seats folded is practically identical. All you miss out on is the second underfloor storage area which is small, shallow and oddly shaped.

    Pricing strategy for 2023?

There's no reason to want a 5-seat over a 7-seat, the 7-seat is now cheaper than the 5-seat thanks to it qualifying for the $7500 credit. Waiting isn't without risk, it is expected that in March the IRS will have finalized the critical mineral requirements which will likely mean that even...

Model Y AWD 279 mile range available as inventory car at some locations

Not sure what you're going on about, they sold all the 3/Y they could in the US.

    Pricing strategy for 2023?

7-seat Model Y qualifies, so they don't need to push prices below $55k to get the credit. Just have to make that the standard.

Tesla prepares launch of a cheaper Model Y electric SUV

Those SR 4680 Model Y's have always been popping up in inventory, nothing new.
