Ah - I answered my own question. Permit : Tesla has submitted a permit/plan/application for a specific address.

On the supercharge.info map, the status says: PERMIT. I wonder what that means - that it's awaiting a permit, or that it has a permit but that it's not yet under construction?

For me, the standard range of the X is like 260 vs 348 for the long range. As I like to go on long road trips the latter is a no brainer.
