Johnson City, TN

This is now a popular charging stop. I used it Saturday on a trip. All 8 stalls in use at one point.

Any ideas about a planned supercharger in Johnson City or Kingsport, TN? I know that there are 2 in Bristol, but those are out of the way unless you are traveling through on I-81. Putting a new SC near the junction of I-81 and I-26 would ideal.

Stopped by yesterday. Looks ready to go. Meter flashing zeros, just like Spartanburg. In the Circle K parking lot next to Bojangles.

We need a SC site near junction of I81 and I26 (Gray, TN). I travel from Knoxville to Kingsport and Johnson City. I can do the round trip on a full charge, but it’s tight if I have to run around while there. And it’s out of the way to go to Bristol.

Just stopped by today. Transformer is humming, meter is flashing zeros. Chargers not energized yet 😡

I’m coming from Knoxville, then going cross country to Augusta at Newberry on 121. I would like to bypass Asheville, charge in Spartanburg and top off in Augusta. Spartanburg is about halfway on my trip.

Yay! Great news! I am driving through on Thursday. I hope it is working by then so I don’t have detour through Greenville.

The Tesla Supercharger web site now says Q3 instead of Q2. What is going on? Only needs the transformer.

Stopped by yesterday. Underground cable has been run to distribution line on the street, but still no transformer 😟

I stopped by on a trip today, March 19. Still waiting on the transformer, but the underground conduit out to the street has been installed. Progress.

This post was actually from about 2 weeks ago. It took some time for me to get verified. There were 2 large boxes installed that I took to be transformers, maybe not. There have been new pics posted since my visit.

I stopped by the BK site off of I-26 exit 21B Spartanburg today. The transformers are installed. Can’t be more than 30 days out.
