Has Basic Autopilot improved (and phantom braking decreased) since radar was removed? (About to buy!)

22 M3P and I would say AP has improved over the last year. I took a 800 mile trip across South Dakota in July last year and had a ton of phantom braking events. Mainly due to heat mirages and some overpass shadows but some completely unexplained. This was during bright sunny days with an...

    Supercharger - Tofte MN

Someone on the MN Tesla FB group mentioned that the site is now fenced in. I think the plan is Q3 2023.

    Homelink is acting weird

Mine has been the same (not working when leaving) for about the last 90 days. I recently activated the MyQ trial as I already have the receiver installed - works but requires a subscription. I will probably go back to Homlink when it expires. Super annoying after spending the $$ last year.

    Supercharger - Tofte MN

I am excited for this to be completed this summer. The north shore is really lacking fast charging. I assume this will include the Magic Dock for non-Teslas. I wonder how busy the site will be since it's the only option for fast charging over 50kW for non-Tesla north of Duluth.

    Supercharger - Two Harbors, MN

While Grand Marais would be my top pick I agree Tofte is better for Lutsen and people staying in that area. I can hit it on the way back from my place North of GM but for someone in Tofte GM is out of the way. The 50kWh in GM works and plenty to do while you wait.

    Supercharger - Two Harbors, MN

Got my CCS adaptor yesterday….I guess 50kwh in GM will work for now.

    Supercharger - Two Harbors, MN

I will probably grab the Tesla to CCS adaptor when available in the US and plan to hit the 50kWh charger in GM. I drive a M3P and with a deep charge at Two Harbors I won't need to spend much time on a level 2 or the 50kWh.

    Supercharger - Two Harbors, MN

Yes, I am aware there is a 50kWh CCS in GM...... Not really fast by todays standards.

    Supercharger - Two Harbors, MN

Two Harbors will be great but we do need a Grand Marais SC. I have an off-grid cabin 15 miles north of GM and even with Two Harbors a round trip without spending time on a level 2 in GM is not possible. Maybe EA will put something in GM and a CCS adaptor will solve the problem....

    Performance cold weather range

I took delivery of my 22 M3P at the end of Feb this year in Minnesota. Only had a week of cold commutes before it warmed up but on 50 mile round trip I was seeing 20%-25% use. In the summer I am seeing 15%-18% use. I didn't get any below zero days but I don't think those will be worse then...

    New owner M3

You aren't missing anything. You don't need the adaptor in the middle for home charging. Just plug it in using the photo above as your guide. Your car might not like an extension cable being used but it will tell you on the screen.

Can you drive a Tesla without network coverage for an extended period?

Drove around in the Black Hills on vacation a couple weeks ago and lost connection for most of the day. No Spotify and some glitchy GPS readings but everything else worked. Teslafi is missing large portions of our trip and the statistics are all wrong but that's not a big deal.

    Charge Point Home Flex feedback

I am going to film my own version of this because it's even easier. Push the button - car stops charging and releases - release button - pull out as one unit. It's a one handed operation if you do it correctly.

What is the thin line above the speed on the Model 3 display

It would be nice if we could customize our display a bit more. Pick what we want to see and move items around/make larger etc. I get they are going for ease of use etc but an "advanced mode" with customization would be helpful.

Dealer markups drove me to buy a Tesla

We purchased an Infinity at a used car dealership last year. After we signed all the paperwork (and declined all the BS with the finance guy) they took the truck in the back to "detail" it. After 30 minutes they pulled the truck around to the front and had added the dealership name across the...
