2021+ Model S Refresh - white interior thread

Jealous. Same config, ordered battery day (9/2020), in Maryland, and still no EDD, just a range that keeps moving out (Nov 6-Dec 4). June was after the price increase, right?

2021+ Model S Refresh - white interior thread

My conspiracy-theory fear is that the white interior cars are the ones sitting in the Fremont lot since July with rear seats but no front seats or something, and we'll get the very first batch of aged lemons 🤪

2021+ Model S Refresh - white interior thread

Wouldn't surprise me - at this point I'd rather they go ahead and maximize 2021 revenue and give me my 12k discounted battery day order in January with an NF VIN after they sort out a few more issues :-)

2021+ Model S Refresh - white interior thread

Just got pushed back again today - new window is Nov 6 - Dec 4. Was Oct 25 - Nov 14 up until this morning. RN 1139, ordered on battery day, Plaid/White/White/19"/FSD. Still no VIN, but I'm hoping at this point that I at least get an NF VIN for my troubles :-) My Model X order still has no...

Tesla wall connector gen3 overheating fix

It's because clicking the button 5 times (or maybe it's 10?) causes the wall connector to reboot and enable it's management WiFi network for configuration. You can either do that or cycle the breaker which feeds it.

    Safety Score

It's not counting, but your usage of it is counterintuitively hurting you. If the only time you are following someone is while on AP, you're not getting any "following seconds" racked up. If you're on AP following somebody at 0.9s, then you disengage AP, it only just now starts counting your...

2021 MS 19” Tempest Delivery Tracking

My battery day order seems to have settled on November 8-28. No VIN yet. I'm pretty patient, and frankly I wouldn't mind waiting until some of the kinks people are reporting are worked out (and I'd rather have a 2022 VIN at this point for resale value). White/White/Carbon/19"/FSD...

Walk away door locks (home) - Alarm triggers every time!

For what it's worth, if you remember to lock/unlock the car manually after summoning, you can avoid the alarm the next morning. Still a pain but might be better than turning the alarm off completely until this gets addressed.

2021 MS 19” Tempest Delivery Tracking

Interesting - my EDD went from "February" to "October 21 - November 10". I had actually started the process of home buying, figuring I had plenty of time to get things settled before the Plaid arrived. Wonder how much stock to put in this new date range.

    Unhappy with phantom braking

There are a variety of causes of phantom braking. What you're describing sounds like the mildest form - the car suddenly changes the set speed at a specific location, either because it saw a speed limit sign, or its map data indicated that it should slow down (supposedly, because other Teslas...

    Not getting any software updates??

Does nobody even read this thread before saying that they, too, are experiencing the same thing literally every new owner does?

Tesla App opens wrong garage door

Yes - that's why Ostrichsak has the option. On an AP2+ car, you don't even have a Summon button (or the feature, obviously) unless you have EAP or FSD. In the past, I think the app didn't even show you the homelink button unless you had Summon since you had to go to the summon page to hit the...

    Not getting any software updates??

My observation from the never-ending stream of posters with this exact issue is that when a release is ready, they assign the list of VINs that are eligible to that release number as part of the rollout. You won't get an update until your car is through the quarantine period, and then it'll get...

2021 MS 19” Tempest Delivery Tracking

Historically, Performance models (i.e. Plaid) get Summer tires, and regular ones (i.e. LR) get all-seasons, regardless of tire size, season, or location.
