What makes you say it wouldn’t be delivered? Just curious what the causes would be. If you pay the $100... you secure it and it’s yours.

I was initially matched with a 116xxx VIN. I asked SA about it. Build date was Jan 29. So 160xxx was likely not too long ago.

They broke me today. I saw my exact config pop up in Raleigh and I placed an order. I’ve not canceled my original just yet. I guess it’s a race to see what arrives first.

To clarify, the request to honor pricing from January was from me, not them. They wouldn’t do that, so I opted to get a new one with new features at the new (more expensive) price.

Agreed. Called SA to ask about “I’m ready.” He advised me to wait a couple of days so the car is matched to someone else in the system?? Said delivery is going to be mid to late June. Sigh. Talk about roller coaster. “Oh man! I’m getting my car! Just kidding!”

Spoke to SA. Confirmed manufacture date was 1/29. SA said “that’s odd. Let me reach out to my manager to unmatch this VIN and get a current one assigned.” Portal now shows my delivery is “on hold”. Hopefully I don’t plummet into the abyss of “exceptions to the rule.” I’m trying to...

One interesting thing.... my VIN seems pretty old compared to the new ones. Weird, no? I’m 116,9xx.

I ordered April 9. My dates had changed all last week to 6-10 weeks from delivery. Then over the weekend I had May 5-June 20. This morning at 6 AM I saw “final payment is due.” Scrolled further down and a VIN had popped up! Showing delivery window of May 14-20.

That is a really crappy answer from Tesla. You wait for 3 months for a car and they can’t wait 2 weeks?!? That is pure insanity and completely unacceptable.

I gotta know more about this. Did the SA find one for you? Was it just luck that you called him as it was about to be assigned? Was there an error on Tesla’s part and you had been overlooked? What was the conversation like with the SA??

This is great to see! I was 4/9, same config except standard 19” wheels. I’m back to showing a date range of 6-10 weeks instead of actual dates.

I ordered 4/9 and my delivery changed from dates to 6-10 weeks. I hate this stupid “roll the dice for a random date range” BS. Either give me an accurate estimate or tell me “there are 26,000 orders in front of you, we make about 2,000 cars / day, so you’ll get your car in 13 days. Hmm...
