    Metallic sound during U-turn+Regen

I took my Y into service. After waiting 4 or more days I was informed this noise from the base of the steering column/floorboard is "normal". It is the "iBooster" checking the brakes while you drive. It was very intermittent and hard to replicate. They did hear the sound after driving the...

    Metallic sound during U-turn+Regen

I hope it is not this issue: Be aware! Tie Rod safety: Life and Death issue

    Metallic sound during U-turn+Regen

I called Tesla support and they advise a service appointment. My soonest is Sept 11.

    Metallic sound during U-turn+Regen

Yes it does sound like that--like a shift gone very wrong in a manual transmission car. It happened again today as I took it off autopilot trying to slowly go through a roundabout. It does not sound good. I could feel vibrations under my feet.

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

SiriusXM Tour gives a Bluetooth tip on its touchscreen: "You may be able to connect your cellphone to the SiriusXM radio via bluetooth. The SiriusXM radio will pass a call through the vehicle's head unit. Consult the user guide at www.siriusxm.com/guides for more information." Nothing...

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

No it didn't recognize it as an audio source.

    Metallic sound during U-turn+Regen

I have heard this weird metallic noise going at slow speeds both in my new Y and a 2 year old Model 3. It's a distressing sound. Happens rarely. I'd like to understand what causes the clatter.

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

I have learned some interesting things about the Sirius XM Tour radio. There is a microusb connector on the left side of the unit. The user's manual states it is "not used" but I found it powers the radio when attached to a USB port in the car. HOWEVER, unless you use the clunky power adapter...

Crackers, In the Y the C-pillar is not part of the tailgate.

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

I was able to pair the Sirius Tour today using it as a second phone. You do lose functionality of the phone as others have noted. We need a fast one tap method to switch between devices or better yet Tesla figure out a way to multiplex two "phones". Everyone should leave this as a bug report!

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

Thanks Germ--Can you give more specific instructions on how to find the headunit option?

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

I just tried the new Sirius Tour and it wouldn't stay connected via Bluetooth. Very disappointing. Crackers are you the same fellow who posted the great video of putting Sirius in the M3? Hope the Y is the same because I'm going to have to rely on that to get the FM direct installed.

Aux input into Model 3 (or: FM modulation questions)

I would like Sirius XM up here in the mountains with poor cell. I just bought the new Sirius Tour which has Bluetooth built in. It's just like having an Onyx EZR but Tour lets you connect to a wifi hotspot (not needed by me) as well as satellite. Uses the same power adapter and docking...

Aux input into Model 3 (or: FM modulation questions)

Need to be able to pair a bluetooth device (transmitter) without using a PIN code. Does anyone have a solution or know how to disable the apparent requirement of a PIN code to enable pairing? Still can't believe Tesla does not have an aux in audio input!

No Dashcam icon or USB detection...EVER...anyone else have and solve this?

Followup: Apparent success! Unless intermittent is to blame. I had originally formatted the 128GB drive in the car with the help of the Tesla salesperson and I placed two folders in that one partition. ExFAT seems to be allowed which is contrary to the manual. I now had my dashcam icon...
